A VAIO smartphone with Lollipop onboard coming in March
Information coming from Japan Communications announced today that a VAIO-branded smartphone will be coming this March. It will be here on March 12, 2015 to be exact. The VAIO smartphone has been benchmarked and besides Android 5.0 aka Lollipop being onboard, the device offers some pretty OK mid-range specs.
With a model number of JCI VA-10J, the phone offers a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2GHz, a 720p 5-inch display, a single SIM card, a rear shooter with 13MP and a 5MP front camera. It will also have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.
Quanta Computer is responsible for manufacturing the phone and there is a possibility that we’ll see a prototype at MWC 2015 next week. We’ll keep you posted.
