Could 2015 be the year of the wearable? Geeksphone certainly hopes so, with its announcement that it is developing a health and fitness tracker called GeeksMe. Aside from having the usual features of a fitness tracker, the GeeksMe wearable can also monitor your sexual performance. Yes, you read that correctly.

Let’s deal with the hardware first, and here we have a bracelet type of device with a round, monochrome OLED display that has 12 bi-colour LEDs around it. The frame of the device is made out of aluminium and the band is said to be ergonomic with premium finishes. Other than that, not much is known about the internals as it is still in development.

On to the nitty-gritty, and Geeksphone says that the fitness wearable will be able to do all the usual fitness tracker functions such as counting steps, monitoring distance walked/ran, how many calories have been burned, as well as sleep monitoring. This data can be synchronised to your mobile device as well as being accessible via the PC.

In an effort to make the device smarter, the GeeksMe tracker will allow alarms and reminders to be displayed, as well as notifying you of calls and messages when linked to your smartphone. All standard stuff so far. Like other fitness trackers, the GeeksMe device will link to a smartphone via Bluetooth, accessing GPS and other information added manually by the user.

Where the GeeksMe tracker differs from its competitors is the ability to function as a sex tracker. This function needs to be manually activated (remember to get your partners consent first). Rather than recording what you are doing (stay with me), the device will monitor how much effort you are putting into the activity and the duration of said activity.

Ángel Sánchez Díaz, the Director of Innovation for the GeeksMe device says that

“…once it’s activated (it) will measure things like number of times a day/week, duration, calories burned, and other very useful information based on different algorithms we are developing. It will help users to have a healthier lifestyle, monitoring different values and statistics when practicing sex.”

As to pricing, the GeeksMe health, fitness and sex tracking bracelet should come in cheaper than its Top Ten competitors. So there you have it, if you have been searching for a fitness tracker that can also monitor your love life, the GeeksMe tracker should become available to purchase by July this year.
