Adobe November 2015 Creative Cloud Update Includes New Features for Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects and More
Several of Adobe’s key Creative Cloud apps will see updates as part of the company’s promised 2015 update plan. As highlighted at Adobe MAX and IBC 2015, InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, Illustrator CC, Indesign CC, Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, and more will gain new features.
Many of Adobe’s apps, including Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, and Premiere Pro CC are being updated with new Touch capabilities for use on Windows tablets and Apple trackpad devices.

Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, Lightroom CC and more are receiving minor updates alongside Adobe’s video editing apps, with features announced at Adobe MAX. Photoshop CC includes a new UI, customizable toolbar, and workspaces, along with new Artboards capabilities and tight integration with Adobe Fuse CC to create realistic human 2D models.
Illustrator CC includes a new Shaper tool that combines 12 tools and panels in one, non-destructive Live Shapes, and Improved Smart Guides, and InDesign CC includes new online publishing features. Several of Adobe’s apps, including Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, and Premiere Pro CC are also being updated with new Touch capabilities usable on Windows tablets and Apple trackpad devices.
Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe’s professional video editing software, is being updated with expanded support for UltraHD formats (DNxHR, HEVC H.265, and OpenEXR) for editing 4K to 8K video footage. Premiere Pro’s Optical Flow Time Remapping allows for smooth slow-motion and speed-ramp effects, plus high-quality frame rate conversions. Adobe Premiere Pro is also being updated with HDR support.
Adobe After Effects CC is gaining support for the Lumetri Color settings introduced in Premiere Pro earlier this year. With Lumetri color support, changes made in Premiere Pro will carry over to After Effects.
Adobe Audition CC includes a new Remix tool for adjusting the duration of a song to match video content. Remix is able to automatically rearrange music to any duration to create custom tracks that fit video creation needs. It’s also able to generate synthesized speech in dozens of voices for custom narration and scratch voiceover.
Adobe’s fall updates are the second major round of updates the company’s Creative Cloud apps have seen this year. The apps also saw significant feature updates in June.

WhatsApp reportedly blocks links to its chat rival Telegram
Not long ago, social networkers accused Facebook of blocking mentions of potential rival Tsu.co. Well, Facebook’s supposedly at it again… and this time, you’re more likely to notice. Telegram and its users claim that WhatsApp is blocking any links to the privacy-oriented messaging service. You can see the addresses, but you can’t tap or copy them. While only some people are seeing this behavior, there’s no mistaking it when it turns up.

Nokia’s next move is VR with this $60,000 OZO camera
Nokia announced its new hardware a few months ago, and tonight at an event in Los Angeles revealed it’s opening preorders for the OZO virtual reality camera. A professional-level device capable of recording its surroundings in 360-degree spherical video, it will require a mere $60,000 — with $5k down payment up front — to secure one when shipments start in Q1 2016. The full specs are also out now, revealing it uses eight synchronized 2K x 2K camera sensors, which record to a 500GB solid state drive that can hold up to 45 minutes of footage. Pros like Jaunt are apparently using the new camera for their VR capturing, and now you can too. You can see the full list, along with accessories like its $1,500 docking station on the OZO website, while you ponder what amazing life experiences justify that pricetag.

Cyber Monday: FreedomPop loses mind, sells LG G2 for $80.99, G3 for $224.99 today only

The folks at FreedomPop have gone completely bonkers and are selling US residents some very nice pre-owned LG devices for ludicrous prices. But you have to act today if you want to get your hands on one!
The LG G2 is currently going for $80.99, and it’s no slouch of a device. With a retail value of $499.99, you’re getting about 84% off on a device that rocked the market when it premiered in 2013. Upon release, the LG G2’s 5.2 inch screen was competitive with the Galaxy S4. With an elegant, minimalist design and enough hardware under the hood to stay current with today’s apps, this smartphone really is hard to beat. 2GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor are still pretty nice specs, and compared to what else you can buy for this price range… there’s just no comparison.

The deal on the LG G3 isn’t quite as extravagant, but it’s still going off the rails on the crazy train. The model FreedomPop is selling is the Gold edition, which usually retails for $599.99. If you act today, you can get it for $224.99, a massive slice off the regular price tag. In the summer of 2014, we called the LG G3 the best phone LG had ever made. It sports a gorgeous 5.5-inch display, an impressive battery life, and hardware specs updated from the G2 model.

Use Snapchat Tuesday and the Gates Foundation will donate to AIDS prevention
Tomorrow is World AIDS Day, and as such the non-profit (RED) organization has plenty of activities planned to raise both money and awareness for its fight against the disease. If you’re a Snapchat user, you can do your part just by adding a filter to your snaps: according to the LA Times, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will donate $3 to (RED) every time a Snap is posted that uses one of three custom “World AIDS Day” filters up to a grand total of $3 million.

Amazon’s tablet web browser is getting easier to use
Amazon’s Silk may not be the darling of the web browser world, but you should know it’s still getting plenty of affection. The internet giant is recapping recent updates that promise an easier-to-use tablet surfing experience. You’ll now see your most visited sites as easy-to-read tiles when you visit Silk’s home screen, putting your go-to page a quick tap away. Bookmarking a page has been simplified to a single tap, and there’s a reading list section on the home screen that offers quick access to your saved articles. Oh, and this is your dream upgrade if you can’t help but open sites in new tabs — you can keep an unlimited number of tabs open instead of the previous 10. All good things to know, especially since it’s been nearly a year since we heard any updates on the supercomputer-powered browser project.

LG announces global availability of the all-metal LG Zero
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
While most manufacturers seem to have packed up shop ahead of the Holiday season, LG is still going strong with another announcement, today announcing the global availability of its all-metal LG Zero. which was announced in South Korea in September. The Zero’s primary selling point is the fact that while it possesses mid-range specs, it includes the camera and user experience of LG’s flagship range, the LG G series – and of course, for fans of metal smartphones, the Zero includes an aluminium body as well. While that might not sound like a big deal, some of LG’s camera features are very handy and its camera performance has proven to be very decent, if not brilliant, so providing these features at a fair price might just be what the doctor ordered.
Here are the full specifications as detailed by LG:
- Display: 5.0-inch HD In-cell Touch (1280 x 720, 294ppi)
- Chipset: 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
- Camera: Rear 13MP / Front 8MP
- Memory: 1.5GB LPDDR3 RAM / 16GB eMMC ROM / MicroSD
- Battery: 2,050mAh
- Operating System: Android 5.1 Lollipop
- Size: 142 x 71.8 x 7.4mm
- Weight: 147g
- Network: LTE / HSPA+ / GSM
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n / Bluetooth 4.1 / USB 2.0
- Colors: Silver / Gold
While the specs aren’t anything unexpected, it’s surprising that LG is releasing the Zero with Android Lollipop while comparable devices like the HTC One A9 were released with Android Marshmallow weeks ago.
LG says that the availability of the Zero will start in Taiwan this week with roll-out in Asia, Europe and Latin America to follow after that. What do you think about the all-metal LG Zero? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Could we see a Huawei smartphone with swivelling camera? This teaser seems to suggest so
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Swivelling cameras seemed like a fresh, innovative take on smartphone cameras, with devices like the Oppo N1 and Oppo N3 showing that you shouldn’t need to compromise on selfie quality if your camera is able to face both the front and rear of your device. Despite the obvious benefits, it’s not a feature that many besides Oppo have bothered to invest in (except Polaroid who blatantly copied it) – until now. If a Huawei teaser is to be believed, the Chinese manufacturer could be about to announce a Huawei smartphone with swivelling camera.
Note that the mechanism for swivelling is quite a lot different to the once Oppo used – while Oppo’s camera rotated along its own axis, the Huawei version hinges at the top of the device, meaning it would sit like a normal camera when facing the rear of the device, but be sticking out when used as the front camera. It’s something different, and presumably Huawei wouldn’t have bothered unless somebody was going to buy it – all the same, we’ll be interested to know more about the device as details become available.
