OnePlus’ Christmas gift to you is ditching OnePlus 2 invites
There will soon be a day when an invite is not required to purchase the OnePlus 2. Today, OnePlus declared that December 5 will be the day that it sets the OnePlus 2 free from the dreaded invite system. Consumers will be able to purchase the company’s flagship freely moving forward instead of having to hunt for an invite that then gives them the option to purchase the OnePlus 2. The newer OnePlus X, however, will remain continue to require an invite.
OnePlus will also run these deals from December 5-7:
- OnePlus 2 StyleSwap covers: 50% off
- Select OnePlus One accessories: 90% off
- All other accessories: 10% off
- OnePlus X: invite-free
Anything ordered by December 7 is guaranteed to be received by “the holidays,” which presumably means Christmas. The company is also sending a limited number of first-time customers a mousepad with the signature OnePlus ‘Never Settle’ phrase on it.
All of this comes as OnePlus celebrates its second birthday on December 17.
