Verizon sweetens prepaid pot with more flexible data options
Verizon today announced improved rate plans for its prepaid subscribers which include extra data and more flexible data pools. The $45 rate plan now comes with 1GB of data, up from the 500MB from before. Those who take advantage of the carrier’s Auto Pay service will receive an additional 500MB of data at no extra cost. Also included are unlimited calls and texting and unlimited text to Mexico and Canada.
Customers looking to add on extra data can now choose from the following options:
- 500MB for $5 – 30 day expiration
- 1GB for $10 – 90 day expiration
- 3GB for $20 – 90 day expiration
