Definitionado, a Windows Phone word game with a slight crossword puzzle feel
Definitionado is a relatively new Windows Phone word game that had a crossword puzzle feel about it. Imagine working on a crossword puzzle without the words crossing and just solving the word clues and you come close to Definitionado.
You are presented with clues that define a particular word and a collection of letters that can be used to spell that word. Available for low-memory Windows Phones, the lack of a gaming clock gives Definitionado a casual feel. The game does have hints for the more difficult words, 500 puzzles and a very clean appearance.
After tackling the first dozen word puzzles, Definitionado comes across as a very appealing word game to add to your Windows phone gaming library.
20,000 units of the Nokia N1 sold out within 4 minutes in China
The Nokia N1 tablet was made available in China today, after the device was announced a couple of months in advance to generate enough hype and interest. And just as the sales opened for the tablet today, a Chinese source mentions that its initial stocks of 20,000 units have run out within a span of just 4 minutes.
With an asking price of CNY 1599 or $257, the N1 is one of the best budget tablets on offer. The device has been made available only in China as of now with no word on a global launch yet. Nokia is expected to make more units of the tablet available on the 15th of January, so customers who couldn’t their hands on the tablet during the initial launch will only have to wait another week.
The Nokia N1 packs a 7.9 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and is also accompanied by Intel’s quad core 2.3 GHz Atom Z3580 processor. Other features include an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, Android 5.0 Lollipop with a custom Z Launcher and a 5300 mAh battery.

Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Grand Max
Samsung has officially announced the arrival of the Galaxy Grand Max smartphone in its home region of South Korea. The smartphone has been making appearances in leaks for quite some time now, so the announcement finally puts them to rest.
This is a midrange offering, but with what Samsung likes to call a Max form factor. Pricing for the handset has been set at 319,000 Korean Won which is roughly around the $290 mark.
The Galaxy Grand Max is packing a 5.25 inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front facing camera with a 120 degree wide angle lens, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 2,500 mAh battery.
For the hardware that it’s packing, a price tag of $290 seems like a little too much. In comparison, the 2014 Moto G which features an almost identical specs sheet comes with a price tag of $179.99 in the U.S. Perhaps Samsung would like to rethink the pricing of the Galaxy Grand Max when it brings the device to global markets.

Mediatek MT2601 is a processor for wearables, hopefully used to make cheaper smartwatches
Mediatek processors aren’t typically used in devices in markets like Europe and America, however in Asia and emerging markets, they are used in practically every device. iHeartRadio to now support upcoming Google Cast for audio, Sony PlayStation
The music streaming service, iHeartRadio, has announced a host of new partnerships at CES 2015 that will enable it to bring its services to Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles among other devices. The other high-profile brands that iHeartRadio will be joining hands with include TiVo, DISH, Google and LG etc.
It will become one of the first apps that are ready for Google’s new Cast for audio system, launching next month. Google Cast for Audio uses a similar technology to that of Chromecast to remotely connect with sound bars, speakers and A/V receivers. Just like Chromecast, users can listen to music on a Google Cast Ready speaker by tapping the cast button on the iHeartRadio app.
iHeartRadio will find its way to in-home entertainment domain by partnering with DISH and TiVo. The service will expand to in-dashboard multimedia systems by BlackBerry’s QNX subsidiary and Clarion.
“These multiple integrations are setting the tone for 2015, which will be another banner year where iHeartRadio focuses on a consumers-first approach – from launching its app on all meaningful devices to continuing to leverage its live radio and entertainment events to provide the best music experience for its listeners,” said Darren Davis, President of iHeartRadio and iHeartMedia Networks.
The all-in-one streaming music and live radio service, which already has 60 million registered users, will come preloaded with at least a dozen devices to be launched by its partners.
These latest integrations add to iHeartRadio’s growing list of device platforms across web, mobile phones, tablets, automotive, smart TVs, gaming consoles and more.

Turns out the LG smartwatch made for Audi is running webOS
The saga of the coolest smartwatch of CES 2015 continues. Yesterday, Ulrich Hackenberg of Audi used an LG smartwatch to summon the self driving Prologue to the stage during a press conference. It was first thought that it could be the G Watch R 2 since it’s round. Then later, it was revealed that it was made specifically for Audi, but the assumption was that it was running Android Wear. Not the case.
Android Central was able to get up close and personal with it and found out that its running webOS. I guess this isn’t surprising since the word on the street is that LG plans on coming out with a smartwatch running webOS. Whether it will look like this watch is a great question, but we can only hope that LG will offer an Android Wear watch that looks similar to it.
