London police testing body-worn cameras for ‘speedier justice’
Rugged video cameras have become part of the police uniform for London officers after the Metropolitan Police kicked off a one-year trial thought to be the biggest of its kind. A total of 500 Axon Body units supplied by Taser will be distributed to officers across the capital, beginning in Camden, in the hope that it’ll accelerate convictions across the capital. It follows a couple of smaller pilots that proved beneficial in doing exactly that. To calm fears that Londoners will be subjected to continual surveillance, the Met says cameras will always be switched off (unless needed) and intends to collect evidence in domestic abuse and public order incidents, but also for “potentially contentious interactions” like a stop and search gone wrong.
Officers will be required to state when the camera is recording, while some units clearly stating their use with large “Video & Audio” notices directly on their front. Officers in Camden will wear them from today, with further trials commencing in Barnet, Bexley, Bromley, Brent, Croydon, Ealing, Havering, Hillingdon and Lewisham in the near future. Already in use by many US forces, the cameras, which offer a 130-degree wide-angle view and can capture roughly 12 hours of footage, will upload evidence to a cloud server at the end of each shift and will remain accessible for 31 days — unless it’s used as part of a case.

LG gives a taste of the upcoming G3 with its first QuadHD phone
KDDI has just launched the first QuadHD (QHD) phone solely for the Japanese market, the Isai FL model built by LG. That gives us a preview of LG’s G3′s 5.5-inch 2,560 x 1,440 display and its record 538ppi resolution. As it happens, LG just announced that the panel has now been certified, and re-confirmed that it’ll be installed in it’s “forthcoming flagship smartphone,” ie the G3. KDDI’s model may may give us an idea of what LG’s eagerly-awaited G2 successor will be like spec-wise, too. The Isai FL has the narrow bezels we saw in leaked images of the G3, but sports a different design lacking the LG’s rear buttons and rumored metal back. It also has some of LG’s Knock functions and will come in three colors with a 13-megapixel camera, 3,000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 2.5GHz CPU. That lines up with some of the G3′s rumored specs, but we won’t have to wait long to know them — it’s set to arrive on May 27th.

The team of perfect employees is the dream of every manager, but this is not easy like seem, because of team’s all members are not alike, some work hard while some pass time in to chat or gossip with friend in the office, so that here need to monitor his/her performance, and there is no doubts that this task is a headache while doing manually.
Managers can use technology to keep eyes on employee performance so that they can analyze who’s work is effective and whose work is not satisfactory, they can also analyze that who deserves a raise, or who need to strict notes and the Employee Monitoring Software or key logger can perform this secretly.

UK’s National Archives now saving tweets and YouTube videos as historic media
Already home to the UK’s most iconic national documents from the last millennium, The National Archives is expanding its digital collection by going social. It’s begun archiving tweets and YouTube videos published by the UK’s ruling parties over the last decade, permanently preserving them as the official public record. Unlike in the US, where the Library of Congress has set about archiving all of America’s tweets (and has already collected more 170 billion messages), the National Archives’ sights are firmly set on government accounts. While that may include mundane social updates from the Forestry Commission, HM Revenue and Customs and the Office of Fair Trading, the Archive will also preserve moments of national pride: events including the 2012 London Olympics, the birth of Prince George and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee have all been saved in the digital vault. Right now, the collection includes 7,000 YouTube videos and more than 65,000 individual tweets — it has the capacity to collect 3,200 tweets at any one time, though, allowing you to trawl announcements of past environmental heath issues, premium bond interest rates and possibly a future British Wimbledon winner at your leisure.

United Airlines now offering free in-flight streaming over WiFi
Remember when American Airlines said it’d offer TV and movie streaming? Not to be outdone, United has joined the pack, offering a similar service to its laptop and iOS device-using passengers. Those who travel on a United Airlines WiFi-enabled flight will have a choice of around 150 movies and 200 TV shows, although there’s no word on what sort of stuff you can expect to see. You can find out if you’re on a suitably-equipped plane 48 hours before take-off, as details of the streaming will be available on the amenities section of United’s website. Call us old cynics, but we’d wager that offering free in-flight streaming where users bring their own hardware is probably a little bit cheaper than installing screens in every seat.

Newly certified LG 5.5-inch Quad HD display must be for LG G3 Display
We’ve heard many rumours about the LG G3 over the last few days, but this piece of information definitely seems the most definitive. LG Display, LG‘s screen development unit, has received NEMKO certification of a 5.5-inch Quad HD resolution display it has been working on, which is a dead ringer for the LG G3 display. As you might expect, this means this display will have a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels which will result in 538 pixels per inch.
So far, we’ve only had suspected details about the LG G3, but the fact that it correlates with the 5.5-inch display that has been rumoured does definitely suggest the G3 is well on its way. Mass production of the display is said to kick in “shortly”, which is perfect considering the timing of the LG event on May 27th.
Who’s excited for the LG G3? Does 2K resolution mean anything to you in a smartphone? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Get the best phones of 2013 for a penny on Amazon

Technology is great. Every year devices get stronger and more powerful. To me, last year was a breakthrough year in regards for smartphone development because we had finally reached a point where we had enough RAM and processing power to run most apps seemingly effortlessly.
In 2013, the potential customer had to pick their potential phone based on things other than specs (i.e. build quality, camera, screen size, etc.). These Flagships from last year can still compete with the best phones of today.
Because last generations big name phones still perform superbly, I have no problem recommending any them to those inquiring about which phone to purchase.
With that being said, I am again making that recommendation as Amazon has last year’s flagships on sale for 1 red cent with a 2-year contract.
Whether its the fit and finish of the HTC One (M7), the endless features of the Samsung Galaxy S4, or the battery life of the LG G2, there is a smartphone here to fit your needs.
So go ahead, don’t be nervous about buying one of these phones as they still perform spectacularly and will be relevant for some time to come. For a penny you can’t go wrong.

Apple Releases Guidelines for Law Enforcement Data Requests
In a new legal resources page posted on its website Wednesday night (via AppleInsider), Apple outlined its guidelines regarding requests for customer data from from U.S. law enforcement agencies, specifying what information the company can and can not retrieve from devices upon the receipt of a search warrant or legal notice.
Regarding the extraction of data from passcode locked iOS devices, Apple states that it may only retrieve information from its own first party apps, which includes SMS messages, photos, videos, contacts, audio recording, and call history. However, Apple can not provide access to email, calendar entries or third-party app data. The company says the data extraction process itself can only be performed on devices in “good working order” at its Cupertino, California headquarters.
Apple will also assist law enforcement in returning lost iPhones to their rightful owners, agreeing to contact the customer of record and have them contact law enforcement to get their property back pending available information.
The new page follows a report from The Washington Post last week which stated that the company would begin notifying its users of secret personal data requests from law enforcement. Apple has become increasingly concerned about privacy matters since the discovery of PRISM, a secret intelligence program ran by the NSA.
CEO Tim Cook was noted as saying that the NSA would have to “cart [Apple] out in a box” before it could access the company’s servers, as Apple also hired certified privacy professional Sabrina Ross last month to oversee the protection of consumer data.![]()
