FCC Chairman gives T-Mobile’s Binge On the thumbs up
T-Mobile’s Binge On feature, which allows subscribers to watch videos from select services without using up their data, has raised eyebrows… and net neutrality concerns. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, however, isn’t only OK with it, he also praised the plan, according to Ars Technica. “Its clear in the Open Internet Order that we said we are pro-competition and pro-innovation. Clearly this meets both of those criteria. It’s highly innovative and highly competitive,” Wheeler replied when a reporter asked him about Binge On at the FCC’s open meeting for November.

MIT researchers develop ingestible sensor to measure vital signs
Stethoscopes listen to your body. These acoustic devices have been around since the 19th century and are still the norm for auscultating or examining the internal sounds of your body. But a team of researchers at MIT have developed an ingestible sensor that could measure your vital signs from the inside, specifically from the gastrointestinal tract. The new sensor, packaged inside a silicone capsule that’s the size of an almond, is expected to make both short and long term assessments easier on patients. Beyond hospitals, it could also help monitor soldiers and assist athletic training programs.

Lowe’s are giving away Google Cardboards so you can view your new 3D room
If you have been thinking about renovating your house, you might want to check out Lowe’s. In a select few locations, Lowe’s Holoroom will let you see your new finished room in 3D before you lay down a single coat of paint.
You and a Lowe’s employee will be able to create a room, add in 3D appliances, change the paint color, and much more all using an Oculus Rift VR headset. However, the absolute best part about this is after your 3D layout is done, Lowe’s will save your design and give you a Google Cardboard to take home, so you can view your layout as you please.
I think this is a really cool idea, but the biggest problem is the extremely few locations that offer this experience. Only six stores in the US have Holoroom: Dublin, Fairborn, and West Carrolton in Ohio, and Fort Collins, Castle Rock, and Colorado Springs in Colorado. Lowe’s plans on adding more locations soon, but if you are in any of the locations that offer it now, I suggest you go check it out.

Sony’s adding PlayStation 2 backwards compatibility to the PS4
Revisiting PlayStation 2 games (at this point) might cost more than you expect. Sony and Electronic Arts have a Star Wars: Battlefront PlayStation 4 bundle available right now and with it comes a quartet of games from a long time ago and a galaxy far, far away: Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, Star Wars Racer: Revenge and Super Star Wars are available via a single download code. This news comes by way of the tech-minded folks over at Digital Foundry who say that of the PS2-era games (all but the latter), they’re running via emulation. The evidence is in the details here, as DF says that the sophomore console’s select and start buttons have been mapped to either side of the DualShock 4’s touchpad, which, considering these were made by Lucasarts Interactive and not Sony, wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will include a fingerprint sensor and launch on November 24
Xiaomi is planning on launching new hardware on November 24, and we are betting that it will be the Redmi Note 2 Pro. We believe this because Xiaomi has recently shared some photos of the Redmi Note 2 Pro featuring a fingerprint sensor.
This would be Xiaomi’s first phone to include a fingerprint reader and all-metallic chassis. The rumours are it will feature a 5-inch 1080 display, MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13MP camera, 5MP front camera, and a 3,060mAh battery.
No word on what Android version it will ship with, but we would imagine Android 6.0 due to the fingerprint sensor.

Facebook launches new Work Chat app
If your work uses Facebook at Work, you are in luck. Facebook has just released a new app to go along with it called Work Chat. The app is basically the same as Facebook Messenger only just for co-workers.
You can do things like send photos and videos, message people individually or in groups, includes free voice calls, and even lets you send stickers.
• Send a message to one of your coworkers or create a group chat with a few of them. With chat heads, you can keep up with the conversation while using other apps.
• See a directory of other employees and start new conversations easily.
• Turn off notifications when you’re on vacation or just don’t want to be disturbed.
It’s pretty basic, but it is the first version. We definitely expect Facebook to pack more features into it over the next year. Also, you must have a Facebook at Work account in order to use the app, but if you would like to try it out, you can always sign up now.

‘Hotline Miami’ sale benefits the artists behind those wild soundtracks
Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number are both dense, addictive and brutal — and a lot of those adjectives come courtesy of the games’ soundtracks. In recognition of this musical magnificence, Dennaton Games is holding a sale this weekend that benefits the aural artists responsible for both Hotline Miami soundtracks. Hotline Miami 2 is 40 percent off ($9) and Hotline Miami is 75 percent off ($2.50), and 100 percent of the proceeds during this sale go directly to the games’ musicians. The combo pack, offering both games, is just $11 during the sale, and both soundtracks are discounted as well: 75 percent off for Hotline Miami’s ($2.50) and 40 percent off for the sequel’s ($9). The sale is live now through Monday at 10AM PT. If you’ve never heard the Hotline Miami soundtracks (Seriously, what are you doing with your life?), listen to a few songs below.
