Ilumi is making their second generation light bulbs, the A19 and BR30 availble online at Bestbuy.com and in Best Buy stores. Both models can be controlled via an iOS or Android app and functions just like a typical light bulb, except you don’t have to get off your butt to control them. What makes these bulbs unique is they offer long range Bluetooth Mesh connectivity which allows users to control up to 50 bulbs with a 150ft. range. Most competitor bulbs can only control ten bulbs, and most of us have more than ten in our household, which means we need to be very selective which light sockets we choose to control wirelessly.

Ilumi also adds in the “smart” into the bulb by building in a personalized setup to replicate the body’s natural circadian rhythm. It can also detect user presence, a light up rooms based on a user’s typical routine, and protect the home by automatically turning off/on when the user is on vacation.
