Earlier this week the Razer Forge TV was quietly pulled from the Google Play Store, prompting some speculation that it may be game over for Razer. A new statement from a Razer representative says the company is not giving up and if anything, is “doubling-down on Android” for gaming.

Part of Razer’s strategy is to build on its acquisition of OUYA earlier this year to produce a “spiritual successor” for Android TV gaming. In addition to continuing work on developing the OUYA platform, Razer is also working on ramping up manufacturing capacity to meet current demand for the Forge TV device.

Some sources think Razer may be targeting a new hardware release in January at CES 2016 in an effort to stay in the market.
