ZUK has announced it’s partnering with Cyanogen to create an international version of the ZUK Z1. The ZUK Z1 was announced in China early last week. Reportedly, the new variant will be based on Cyanogen OS 12.1.

The international variant of the ZUK Z1 will most likely include very similar specifications to the original Z1. We can expect a near 5.5-inch 1080p display with speedy internals. We are most likely looking at a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC and around 64GB of internal storage.

The press conference will be held August 21 in Shenzhen. The company will most likely give us more details about the partnership between themselves and Cyanogen, whose Senior Vise President is scheduled to attend the event. Hopefully we’ll learn more about their upcoming plans.
