Next time you take an Uber ride in India, you might be able to use free Wi-Fi, thanks to the on-demand cab service provider’s partnership with Airtel. Not only the Indian telecommunication company is offering free 4G Wi-Fi to Uber customers, they can also pay for their rides through Airtel Money wallet. New Uber riders will get credits up to Rs. 500 ($7.55) for free on their first Airtel Money top up.

Airtel, which recently became the official telecom partner of Uber in India, offers many exclusive promotions, discounts and deals for its customers across the country.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Airtel to deliver solutions that elevate the Uber experience for riders and drivers throughout India. Now, Uber riders can enjoy the convenience of paying through their Airtel Money wallets, while also experiencing the power of blazing internet speeds with Airtel 4G on the move,” Amit Jain, President, Uber India, said.

The announcement comes weeks after a similar initiative launched by Ola, Uber’s main rival in India. Ola also provides free internet for Ola Select customers.

Uber has now added cash payment option to riders in many Indian cities including Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Pune. Uber customers can also pay for their rides using debit and credit cards or Paytm wallet, .
