Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 dual-SIM models have microSD card support

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 dual-SIM models seems to have microSD support, as the second SIM tray doubles as a microSD card slot. While this doesn’t solve everyone’s woes, it is good news for those that can get their hands on a dual-SIM model.

The dual-SIM version will primarily be available in Asian markets, as American carries have experienced issues with carrier exclusivity and contracts with dual-SIM models in the past. The same goes for Europe, but they won’t be getting the device this year anyway, it seems.

Believe it or not, it’s actually quite common for the second SIM tray slot to double as microSD card expansion.

Could you in anyway get your hands on a dual-SIM variant? Most certainly, but not through official channels. You’re best luck is keeping an eye on marketplaces like eBay.

It’s possible that the dual-SIM variant could work on a US-based carrier, although you’d have to check and make sure your carrier is compatible with the supported bands, otherwise, all it’ll essentially be is a paperweight.
