AT&T revamps its Mobile Share Value plans, putting the consumer first
AT&T today announced new plans to revamp its Mobile Share Value plans, aiming to give its customers the best bang for their buck. There’s no doubt that the pressure from T-Mobile’s competitive pricing has helped sway AT&T’s decision to offer discounted rates.
$20 will now get you 300MB of data, and for just $10 more you can get 2GB of data. $100 will get you 15GB of data, with $140 giving you 20GB of data to spend as you wish.
These last two higher tier plans will give you free texting and calls to Mexico and Canada, and each line will cost you $15/mo. For the lower tier plans ($20-$50), each line will cost $25. AT&T also has plans up to 50GB, if the 20GB option isn’t enough for you.
AT&T’s revamped Mobile Share Value plans aren’t available just yet, though! The carrier will officially let customers begin switching over to those plans as of tomorrow, August 15.
The deal might sound to be one of the sweetest AT&T has offered yet, but it’s no doubt a move to take the public eye off of the carrier’s recent rise in fees. AT&T recently announced a rise in fees for Next activations, in addition to regular activation fees.
As long as you don’t plan on upgrading to a fancy new device in the near future, AT&T’s discounted Mobile Shared Value plans might actually be worth the jump!
