Xiaomi will unveil MIUI 7 on Thursday, August 13
Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi took to its official forums earlier today to tease the release of its upcoming operating software, MIUI 7. The firmware is scheduled to be announced at a launch event in Beijing in just nine days time.
Considering MIUI 6 was heavily-based on Android 5.0, it’s more than feasible that MIUI 7 will be a reskinned version of Android 5.1.1. Obviously, it will look completely different, but its core functions should remain the same.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have, for now, but we’re excited to see what Xiaomi has come up with for MIUI 7, so be sure to check back as we’ll be bringing you coverage of the event next Thursday, August 13.
