Mini version of LG G4 coming, reportedly called the G4c
Last year’s LG G3 flagship had no shortage of low and mid-range variants including the G3 Beat, G3 Stylus, and G3 Vigor. To little surprise, it seems LG is content to repeat this trend, as newly leaked details surrounding the LG G4c have now emerged.
Just like the LG G3 Beat, we are looking at a miniaturized version of LG’s flagship, with stripped down specs to match. The LG G4c is powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor with just 1GB RAM. Other specs include a 720p 5-inch display, 8GB storage, microSD, an 8MP rear cam, a 5MP front cam, and the new LG UX 4.0 — built on Android 5.0 Lollipop. As you can see in the images, the LG G4c also has the same diamond patterning on its plastic back that you’ll find with the plastic version of the G4. The shape of the rear volume and power buttons also match the G4.

It’s unclear exactly how wide of a launch the LG G4c will enjoy, or even if that will be its final name when it launches. The rumor mill does suggest it will start rolling out in Europe, starting with Germany in June, but nothing is set in stone just yet.
While we understand that some consumers like smaller phones, it would be nice if more manufacturers followed Sony’s cue and delivered a compact experience that still manages to offer a big punch.
