New View Count Approximation Added to G+ Pages

by John_A

Looks like Google is pushing out a small little tweak to G+ from the backend today for everyone. The change allows you to see an approximation of how many views your profile and the content you have posted have had. Take a look:

AndroidSPIN G+ countsPretty interesting number to see really. Especially when it comes to a site page like ours. We have cleared 20 million views, but not nearly that many have filtered through to the actual page. It does give you a bit of a “WOW!” feeling when you see it though. Gives you a new appreciation for the power of G+.

The update is out and doesn’t require anything on your part. At lest it shouldn’t. It might take a refresh or two for it to filter in. You can check for the setting in you G+ settings page. You will want to check the box that says ‘Show how many times your profile and content have been viewed’.

G+ page view countsYou might be surprised at how many people have drifted through your page. I know I was. I don’t spend much time on my personal G+ page but here is what I was greeted with.

Stormy G+ viewsNever thought that many people popped through my page. Guess I should share more stuff.

Enjoy!
