SwiftKey’s Android keyboard is now available for free
Of the third-party keyboards available on the Google Play Store, SwiftKey is among the oldest and most well-known. And although it’s getting its iOS8 app ready for the fall, it certainly isn’t forgetting the platform that helped the $4 app get its big break. With today’s update, SwiftKey’s premium Android keyboard is now permanently free of charge. This is great news for fresh users, and the loyal folks who’ve previously purchased the app won’t be left out of the update: Legacy customers will get a $5 theme ten-pack for free. Additionally, the refresh also comes with a SwiftKey store (with 30 themes available at launch), a number row and over 800 emoji. Many of the features in this update were offered as part of a beta, so it’s refreshing to see them added into the final product.
1Password for Android can now be your only account manager
For the longest time, AgileBits’ 1Password for Android was just a pale shadow of its desktop and iOS counterparts. Besides the ancient interface, you couldn’t add anything — if you signed up for a service, you had to turn on another device just to put the new account behind 1Password’s secure walls. As of today, though, the app has caught up. The redesigned 1Password 4 for Android has both a modern interface and true independence; you can add passwords, credit cards and other sensitive info without touching any other hardware. Data syncs like it does on other platforms (including to folders, if you dislike the cloud), and there’s a built-in browser if you want to log in as quickly as possible.
AgileBits wants to spur adoption, so it’s making the Android version completely free to use from now through August 1st. After that, it’ll switch to a read-only mode for free users. The company hasn’t yet determined how much it will cost to unlock full access, although it wouldn’t be surprising if the price comes close to the $18 of the iOS version.

Make It Rain: Love of Money [App of the Day]

In the world of ever growing addictive games there comes Make it Rain. One of the more absurd games out there the entire game is making it rain by swiping cash. Whats the objective you say? To make it rain money. Just keep swiping and swiping and swiping and swiping some more. The more money you let fly the more you can buy. What can you buy? The ability to let more money fly. Whats the point? To get more money.
This is highly addictive game because you always want that next upgrade. There are some negatives in the game like the FBI. Every time you get investigated you are found guilty which results in a net loss of money and a percentage taken away every second. The upgrades allow you to have more money per second while playing and higher money per swipe. There are also upgrades to collect money while your not using the app. Be warned this is addictive you will always want the next level. There is only one glitch in the game you can hold your finger on the top of the screen and tap to swipe at a higher rate that physically swiping the cash. Make It Rain: Love of Money looks absurd at first glance but once you start its hard to put down.

Is Samsung working on a foldable tablet for 2015?

It’s time to be ready for some crazy news. Samsung is reportedly working on a tablet with a foldable display, that can fold itself into a smartphone factor as well. Samsung also showcased a bendable tablet at the Mobile World Congress, and back in 2012, Samsung filed for a patent which tells us about a potential foldable tablet.
The Korean site is reporting that the tablet will feature a 8 to 9-inch full HD OLED display. It is said that Samsung will release it sometime in 2015. Samsung has showcased a smartphone with flexible display in past as well i.e. Galaxy Round, and it seems that sooner or later we might see some more tablets and smartphones from Samsung with flexible display. However, the device will be available in limited quantities, and will have a hefty price tag.
Right now, we don’t know anything about the type of user interface it will have, or the hardware it will have. But if it’s something real, we might hear about it soon.

Angry Birds Epic to arrive June 12 for iOS and Android

We knew that Rovio’s Angry Birds RPG game is due soon and now we have a date for its arrival. Angry Birds Epic is due June 12 on iOS and Android.
After releasing Angry Birds Go, a racing game, Rovio seems eager to explore other genres as well. Angry Birds Epic is an RPG game and the plot is rather similar to the other games in the series. Pigs steal eggs from the birds and here we go again, though RPG style this time. The looks of the game will also look similar to you and we’re talking turn-based RPG game here. You’ll of course get the chance to play with some familiar characters from the games prior to this one.
We’re somewhat excited for this in hope it won’t be a money-draining mess like Angry Birds Go. How about you, will you play it?

Android can now wake you up when you’re close to your bus stop
If you’ve ever taken the bus or subway home after drinking too much at a party, you know how tough it can be to get off at the right stop — you may fall asleep well before then. That shouldn’t be an issue if you’re using a recent Android phone, however. Android Police has noticed that the latest version of Google Now on Android lets you set an alarm that wakes you up shortly before a favorite destination comes up; you can safely catch some shut-eye knowing that you’ll still be home on time. There are third-party apps that offer similar reminders, but it’s good to have a built-in safety net when you’re not entirely sober.

AT&T’s prepaid GoPhone service now gets your tablet online
AT&T may want to think twice about the name for its prepaid GoPhone service — it’s not just for phones anymore. You can now bring your own tablet to the no-contract offering, with pricing similar to what we’ve seen on the carrier before. Spending $15 per month will get you a (frankly paltry) 250MB of data, while bumping that up to $30 or $50 will get you a far healthier 3GB or 5GB, respectively. Should you need more, you’ll pay for it in $10 blocks that give you 100MB, 500MB or 1GB, depending on the existing plan.
Just don’t expect to connect any cellular tablet you have on hand. Right now, AT&T is only promising compatibility with a handful of mostly older devices; while the Nexus 7 is still fresh, tablets like the third-generation iPad and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 are decidedly behind the curve. If you’ve been meaning to get mobile data going on an older slate before you head out on vacation, though, this may fit the bill.

When a meme goes too far, someone makes a Hodor keyboard
It was Shakespeare who said “brevity is the soul of wit,” and you won’t find a better champion of that statement than Hodor. The gentle giant from Game of Thrones can express seemingly anything using only his name, and now you can be just as concise with the Hodor Keyboard. The Android keyboard replacement swaps the usual line-up of cumbersome characters out for a simple Hodor button, all for a mere $0.99 (or £0.59) — practically a gift from the gods. In other GoT-related news, the show’s officially overtaken The Sopranos as HBO’s most successful, with an average of 18.4 million viewers this season. And, they’re just the ones that watch it legally.
Raise a glass of Arbor Gold. #GameofThrones is the most popular series in @HBO history. Thanks to the worldwide realm for all your support.
