Evernote today took to its blog to announce that it has released a new Evernote widget for your Android device’s home screen. Evernote has a widget already, but it’s a completely separate application and doesn’t work as seamlessly with Evernote as some might like.

This new Evernote for Android update brings with it three new and powerful widgets. The 1×1 Actions Widget aims to provide you with quick actions for accessing notes, your camera, and more.

The 4×1 Action Bar is just what it sounds like–a widget that lets you select up to 11 actions for quick access to some of your most favorite Evernote features. Finally, there’s a 4×2 List Widget that provides shortcuts to Evernote features in addition to your notes. For your notes, you can select a specific notebook, your most recent notes, and so on.

Evernote in this new update is also introducing a new feature dubbed Simple Notes. This will allow you to do just as it sounds–jump right into a new note, allowing you to quickly jot down a new thought or even your weekend grocery list.

If you haven’t gotten the update yet, be sure to hit the download link below.
