Dungeon Hunter 5 gains new gear and new missions in latest update
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Gameloft is pushing out a new update for Dungeon Hunter 5 that brings in a slew of new stuff for your gaming addiction. This is the 4th major update to the title since its release in March of this year. That is pretty impressive considering it has only been 6 months. Anyways, Gameloft has added a number of things to the dungeon crawler that is of particular interest to those slaving away at the title.
First up we have a new RUSH feature. This addition gives you your loot and experience instantly from any story mission you have completed. You can acquire Rush tickets by completing missions for the first time on all difficulties and includes a new VIP mode. To grab them all you have to do is enter a new mission’s difficulty screen and hit Rush. They also added a new exclusive daily event, key to obtaining Kenashi tickets.
You will also find 3 new bits of armor and 3 new weapons that you can obtain by using those newly acquired Kenashi tickets. You will also be able to apply those same earned tickets to fortify your stronghold with a new layout, new trap and 4 new ferocious minions to protect that loot.
If that isn’t enough, Gameloft also tossed in 3 new story missions to expand the current story line, gifts for members of the new VIP mode by performing bounty hunter duties and MFi controller support for those sporting an iOS device.

Upcoming Android powered BlackBerry to be called ‘Priv’
Oddly enough, one of the mostly anticipated Android devices that is going to hit the shelves later this year is made by BlackBerry. The device which has the code name ‘Venice’, has been leaked quite thoroughly. Most of those leaks have come from ex-leaker @evleaks, and he doesn’t seem like he’s going to stop anytime soon.
Evan Blass states the new device will be called the BlackBerry Priv, not Venice. If that wasn’t enough excitement for you, he also leaked a new press render which exposes the device’s slide-out keyboard. Not only did we get ourselves a new press render, but Evan was also able to obtain us the default wallpaper for the Priv, which we posted yesterday.
To give a quick refresher on the BlackBerry Priv, it is looking at a November. It will come with what is expected to be a 5.4 inch QHD display with curved edges, similar to that of the S6 edge/edge+, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and an 18 megapixel camera. To top it all off, it will include the slide-out keyboard of course.
One of my first true ‘smartphones’ was a BlackBerry Pearl and it was the greatest thing since sliced bread for me at the time. There was nothing like passing time in class playing Brick Breaker. I’m actually pretty excited about the device, even though I’ve phased out mobile keyboards from my life since the MyTouch 4G slide. If T-Mobile carriers it, which it is expected, I might be picking this thing up. What about you?

Official trailer for the upcoming ‘Angry Birds’ movie is here
Sony and Rovio Entertainment are getting ready to release the official Angry Birds movie inspired by the widely popular Angry Birds game. Today, the companies released the official teaser trailer for the upcoming movie.
The movie will obviously be aimed at a younger crowd and will hit theaters next Summer. The upcoming movie will feature Jason Sudeiks, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph, Danny McBride, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage and many more.
Judging from the trailer, the red colored bird is the main character and will be played by Jason Sudeiks. He has anger issues and is taking anger management classes in hope to get better. A pig disrupts the red bird as well as his neighbors. When he gets mad or really upset he’s known to blow up.
Hopefully the movie won’t be as bad as the trailer, but if you’re into it, you can watch the trailer in the embedded video down below.

DotEmu is bringing the classic point-and-click horror game Sanitarium to Android

If you’re a fan of 90’s horror games on the PC, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve played DreamForge’s psychological point-and-click horror game Sanitarium. If you’d much rather play this creepy title on a mobile device, though, good news! DotEmu has just announced its plans to bring Sanitarium to both Android and iOS on Thursday, October 29th… just in time for Halloween.
The game will have an all-new interface, touch and controller support, an automatic saving system, a new inventory system and even optional hints. You’ll also be able to play it in both full screen and original viewing modes, and there will also be a set of achievements for you to complete to keep the game interesting.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Sanitarium was originally developed for the PC by DreamForge Intertainment in 1998. You play as a man named Max who has just woken up in a sanitarium after being knocked unconscious in a car accident. Max can’t seem to remember where he is or where he came from, and it’s your job to travel around searching for answers. You’ll meet tons of creepy characters along the way. Speaking from experience, this game is truly frightening.
If you’d like to learn more about Sanitarium before it makes its way to Android, check out the trailer above. You can also play the game on Steam.
Sprint offers the iPhone 6s for $1 a month with trade-in
Sprint has lowered the bar in The Great iPhone 6s Price Race of 2015. Trade in an iPhone 6 at a Sprint-branded store and snag a 16GB iPhone 6s for $1 a month. Or, trade up to a 16GB iPhone 6s Plus for $5 a month. If you need a little more storage in your mobile life, get a 64GB 6s for $5.77 a month or 128GB for $10.53 a month with the trade-in of an iPhone 6. For 6s Plus people, 64GB runs $9.77 a month and 128GB costs $14.53 per month with a trade-in. There’s also a discount for swapping out your iPhone 5s: Get a 16GB iPhone 6s for $10 a month or a 16GB 6s Plus for $14. All of this is part of Sprint’s (totally-not-creepy-sounding) iPhone Forever program, which allows eligible customers to grab the newest iPhone model as soon as it’s on the market. This requires a 22-month lease on a new or upgradable line, alongside the trade-in. Before Sprint’s announcement, the cheapest monthly iPhone plan was T-Mobile’s $5-a-month trade-in offer for the 16GB 6s.

Samsung’s new and improved $99 GearVR ships this November
When Samsung released its revised mobile virtual reality headset, the GearVR, earlier this year, it did so with the label “Innovator Edition” still attached since the hardware wasn’t quite consumer-ready. Today, at the Oculus Connect 2 developer conference in Los Angeles, Samsung’s VP of Mobile, Peter Koo announced a new GearVR priced affordably at $99 and ready to ship in the United States in time for Black Friday this November and worldwide shortly after. To prove its shared commitment with Oculus to making virtual reality a truly mass-market product, the new GearVR will work with all of Samsung’s 2015 flagship phones. That means if you’ve recently upgraded to a Samsung Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge or Galaxy S6 Edge +, you now have a compatible hardware.

The hardware’s now been made 22 percent lighter, which Koo said makes it more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. And the side touchpad has also gotten a revised design, though Koo didn’t elaborate much on its changes.
We’ll have a chance to demo the new GearVR later today, so stay tuned for impressions. For now, though, you can look forward to joining the company’s push into mobile VR this November.

2K Games kills off ‘BioShock’ for iOS
When 2K Games launched a port of the original BioShock for iOS last year, fans of the adored franchise were ecstatic. But it looks like that joy has, unexpectedly, come to an end for some of them. Much to the surprise of people who had already purchased the mobile title, 2K Games appears to have pulled it from the App store — if you deleted it from your device, there’s no way to get it back. The company had recently cited compatibility issues with versions of iOS 8.4 or higher, bad enough that users couldn’t play it, but it said a fix was in the works. Now, however, the developer appears to have given up completely. According to a forum post on Touch Arcade, a 2K Games customer service rep told a fan the removal was “a developer decision.”
As to refunds for BioShock on iOS, the representative said, “Since the transaction wasn’t completed through us, we can not perform a full refund back to you. However you will be able to complete a refund with Apple. They will be able to do this for you.” While it is still good news that you can get your money back, 2K Games could’ve been courteous and given at least a heads-up to those who purchased the $15 app before it decided to pull the plug. (If you need assistance in getting a refund, check out iMore’s tutorial on the matter.)

Oculus VR is getting Twitch streaming soon, Netflix today
At the Oculus Connect 2 event, the virtual reality company just announced that it’s getting a number of video services streaming to VR. The biggest one, Netflix is going to launch an app “in about 20 minutes”, but Twitch, Hulu, Vimeo and more are going to be right behind it. We didn’t get a ton of details on the experience, but we expect to see something like the current Oculus Cinema, where viewers can watch movies in a virtual theater. For the Twitch app, viewers will be able to chat and comment on gaming streams they’re watching too. The slide at the event also showed logos for Facebook (obviously), Fox, Lionsgate and even TiVo.
