Action Launcher updated with several new features and enhancements
Action Launcher 3 has been updated to version 3.6, and it’s brought tons of new features along with it. The biggest new addition is Quickfind, which is designed to make finding apps in your app drawer significantly faster. If you have tons of apps installed on your device, it’s a huge improvement over browsing through pages and pages of icons.
Quickfind works very similarly to Google’s implementation of simply searching for an app by typing in what you’re looking for. The functionality is the same, but it excels in speed. The feature is typically available by tapping the search bar at the top of your app drawer, but you can also double tap or swipe the all apps button on your home screen to pull up Quickfind with the keyboard out so you can get straight to searching. It also works for widgets, interestingly enough.
There are few other features included as well, including some new home screen transition effects and the option to pin your most used apps to the top of your action bar, plus the usual stability tweaks and fixes that are present in just about every app release and update ever.
