You can only watch Yacht’s music video when Uber surge pricing hits LA
The band Yacht has a new record coming out next month, and it’s debuting a new music video to tease a new single. However, you won’t be able to click over to YouTube to watch. The video for “LA Plays Itself” can only be viewed when Uber’s surge pricing goes into effect in Los Angeles. Increased demand for the ride-sharing service unlocks the song so the city (kind of) plays itself. What’s more, when surge rates hit two times the norm, the band will spin a remix version of the track. As the band states, it’s certainly a new take on the traffic jam.
[Thanks, Derek]

Here is another picture of the LG V10 and its multiple displays
Earlier today, another image of the upcoming LG V10 was shared online. The new image (seen above) does confirm that the handset will indeed have two displays. The main display, which is allegedly 5.7 inches, is paired with a ticker above it alongside the front-facing camera(s). This ticker offers quick access to apps and will likely show previews to select notifications. And notice that there seems to be two cameras on the front of the V10. We’ll have to wait and see how LG explains that.
Here are the specifications being rumored around the web:
- 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 807 processor
- 3GB of RAM
- 64GB of internal storage
- 16MP rear camera
Could this be what LG will announce at its event being held on October 1?

Deal: Pick up a brand new 32GB unlocked LG G4 from eBay for $399.99

It seems like the LG G4 has been consistently dropping in price ever since it made its way to market, and that still holds true today. Although it may have been out-shined by Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the LG G4 is still a really nice phone. It sports a big 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, microSD expansion up to 128GB, and has a very powerful 16MP rear camera. The 3000mAh battery is also removable, which is something many newer flagships have been ditching as of late.

21’s Bitcoin Computer is a Raspberry Pi-powered mining tool
If you’ve been searching for a non-DIY Bitcoin mining machine, there’s now a device that could meet all your needs. Announced earlier today, the 21 Bitcoin Computer is a pocketable, Raspberry Pi-powered tool with native hardware and software support for the open-source, peer-to-peer money protocol. 21.co, the startup behind the new product, says you can use it to seamlessly buy or sell digital goods and services from a custom command line interface. What’s more, thanks to a built-in payments system, you can also set up the Bitcoin Computer to sell your own API calls (like language-to-language translations) and even create a personal store for virtual items.
Another notable aspect of the Bitcoin Computer is its compatibility with Mac, Windows and Linux, but it can operate as a standalone machine as well. This is 21.co’s first consumer product, made possible by backing from Qualcomm, Cisco and giant venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. It’s up for pre-order now from Amazon for $399, which includes everything you need to get started — a Raspberry Pi 2 with a WiFi adapter, power supply, USB cable and a 128GB SD card.

‘Hitman’ delayed to March 2016
IO Interactive needs a few more months to bulk out the new Hitman — the studio has pushed the game’s release date back from December 2015 to March 2016. The delay applies to all versions: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Wherever and whenever you end up playing Hitman, it’s going to be a slightly different experience for the series. IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix plan to release Hitman in chunks, starting with a large initial launch. Afterward, the game’s remaining locations will be released over time. The new Hitman‘s tagline is, “Enter a world of assassination,” which feeds into the idea of a constantly updated, evolving landscape.
“These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone,” IO Interactive writes on the Hitman blog. “And in the end, that’s what we’re all looking for.”

Gmail receiving ability to Block or Unsubscribe pesky emails
Google is going to be adding two new features in Gmail, aimed specifically at making it easier to avoid the constant unwanted clutter in your inbox. In the past, we’ve seen Google simplifying the inbox by allowing us to send topics to different folders. Now it’s time to make sure items that belong in the Spam folder go there.
First up is the ability to block specific email addresses. Google says that you’ll be able to choose to “Never see messages from this person again.”
Upon blocking, future mail from the sender will go into the Spam folder. Google says that the feature is available on the web today and in the Android Gmail app over the next week.
The option to unsubscribe from mailing lists is coming to Android Gmail app as well. As implied, you’ll be able to opt out of newsletter subscriptions directly from the app.
What do you think about these new Gmail features? Hit up the source link below for the official word.

T-Mobile rings up $50 Coolpad Rogue smartphone for September 30
T-Mobile will soon offer a dirt cheap 4G LTE smartphone in the form of the Coolpad Rogue. Arriving on September 30, the handset comes from one of the larger Chinese hardware vendors and features entry-level specifications.

Powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the Coolpad Rogue includes a 4-inch display at 800×480 pixel resolution. The rear offers up a 2-megapixel camera while the front has a VGA shooter for selfies.
Under the hood you’ll find a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Connectivity comes in the form of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the aforementioned 4G LTE.
Are these specs uber-powerful? Of course not – that’s not the point. What the Coolpad Rogue has, however, are enough specs to help ease someone into the world of smartphones, namely Android. Speaking of which, we love that this includes Lollipop.

Keep your finances in check with the help of Quibu (App Review)
Managing your money can be a pain in the rear. Especially if you carry both cash and a debit or credit card. Obviously there are a slew of apps that allow you to keep track of your balance on your card(s), usually provided by the bank of your choice. When it comes to trying to keep track of how much cash you have, it isn’t as easy.
Quibu, from the folks at Simple Loop, is a free app on the Play Store that allows you to keep track of your cash on the go. You can, of course use this to manually keep track of all of your funds, but it’s usually easier to just use your bank’s app to keep track of your transactions. Since your bank can’t keep track of your cash, and you don’t want to whip out that big stack of cash in public, you’ll need something else.
Setup
Once you get through the easy installation and set-up, it will allow you to check your finances at a glance. When you first start the app up, you’re greeted with a number pad. This is where you’ll enter the starting cash balance that you have, and you can even add those obnoxious coins in your pocket, if you’d like.
After you’ve added your starting balance, you’ll be shown a drop down menu where you pick where your balance is coming from. When picking from this selection, be a bit careful. The first three are “Income” selections, while the remaining options are there for you to categorize your expenditures.
Overview
After you’ve got Quibu set up, the next time you open the app, you will be presented with three tabs and the “hamburger” over flow menu. Overview, List, and Add are the three tabs, and allow you to manipulate your income to your needs.
Overview will show you a graph of your income and expenses, making it easy to see how much you’ve spent. List, will show off everything, from income added and what type of income it was, to your expenses and what type those were. The Add section is just what you would expect, and allows you to add or subtract money if need be. The overflow menu, on the left hand side, allows you to further tweak Quibu to your desire.
From here, you can edit the various categories, whether they are Income, Expenses, or Inactive categories. You can even “pull” a report of your income by picking either ‘Income by Category’ or Expense by Category’ and a date range. Once you’ve selected which report you would like to run, you are presented with a screen that looks like the Overview and List tabs, combined. This will show, and list, every transaction made so that you can get a general overview for the time frame that you need.
What We Like
- Simple and easy to use interface
- Customizable
- Able to quickly enter expenses
- Able to pull income or expense reports from data
What We Don’t
- No true intro screen explaining what everything does
All in all, Quibu may sound funny, but if you need a way to quickly, and easily track your finances, this may be the app for you. Combine the easy to use interface, with the fact that it’s free, and you have a home run. So hit the Play Store widget below and check it out.
