Such a battery instantly kills the G4’s aesthetics, but not everyone will care. Some people just like the idea of having a phone that rarely needs charging, others will probably use the regular back and battery most of the time but like the idea of having an 8500 mAh battery for camping trips and other situations where they will have very limited access to an outlet.
