Madfinger brings its new first-person zombie shooter UNKILLED to the Play Store

Madfinger Games, the developers behind the immensely popular Shadowgun and Dead Trigger series, have brought a new first-person zombie shooter to the Play Store. The new title is called UNKILLED, and like Dead Trigger, it’s completely over-the-top and features some killer graphics.

Here’s how the game works: you play as Joe, a member of an anti-zombie unit called WOLFPACK, which is a private military unit in New York that’s designed to track and kill zombies before the outbreak becomes global. On the surface, UNKILLED seems like any other zombie-slaying title, but since this is a Madfinger game, you can expect plenty of missions, in-game unlockables, various weapons and beautiful graphics. Specifically, there are 300 different missions in the game, a number of unique enemies and bosses, and there are even 50+ different weapons to choose from. Missions are pretty short for the most part, which will make it easy for playing on-the-go or if you’re in a time constraint.

We went hands-on with the new game at E3 2015 earlier this year, and you can see our video walkthrough below!

UNKILLED is free-to-play with various in-app purchases ranging from $4.99 to $99.99 per item. You don’t necessarily need to purchase anything if you don’t want to, but the option is there if you’re interested. This title is also compatible with external controllers. While there’s no Android TV support at the moment, Madfinger says UNKILLED will expand to set-top boxes in the future. Be sure to head to the link below if you’re interested.

Hundreds of missions with an extensive weapon arsenal, unique bosses, and a story line with a conspiracy theme provide the players with long hours of perfect gaming fun.

September 3rd, 2015 Brno, Czech Republic MADFINGER Games continues to maintain its legendary status through consistent praise and the high rankings of its games in app communities.

The main plot takes place in NYC, the center of the world’s latest zombie outbreak. The gamers start out as Joe, a member of the antizombie unit WOLFPACK, a private military organization designed to find, track, and eliminate the zombie menace before it goes global.

“We’ve been inspired by the success of our previous game and decided to bring our players another perfect action shooter that would blur the line between console and mobile gameplay,” explains Pavel Cizek, the project leader of UNKILLED. “Fantastic feedback from the global community allowed us to focus on exactly those aspects that the players have the highest expectations for,” adds Cizek.

UNKILLED is mainly a beautiful, smooth, 1stpersonshooter action with a unique MFG control scheme for mobile devices triedandtested by millions of players. The Autofire shooting system lets player concentrate on the action. In addition, the game supports multiple gamepads.

Like before, gamers will enjoy an insane visual quality never before seen in mobile gaming. In whole, gameplay provides an amazingly long storyline with more than 100 missions, many unique enemies supported by special bosses, a diverse and huge arsenal of weapons, and unique allies to help player to survive and succeed in mission quests.

Apart from the story campaign missions, the players can look forward to many side missions where they complete quests in order to gain useful resources that allow them to buy new gadgets, weapons, and upgrades. Based on a similar principle, there are also special timed campaigns, each consisting of three missions.

Among the gadgets with the most entertaining potential are homing rockets that never miss their target, causing explosions that are one of the gameplay’s visual high points. MADFINGER Games is a steady and dominant player in multimedia entertainment focusing on mobile platforms. Founded in 2009, Madfinger’s apps shot to the top of the charts in sales. Shortly thereafter, MADFINGER Games began cooperation with a number of significant companies from the gaming industry and has been regularly recognized with series of prestigious awards. http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();

Barnes & Noble once had their own branded tablet, the NOOK. they made a few version of the device and, at the time, it was fairly popular for the price and offered moders an easy tablet to install custom ROMs on. The company pulled back on their line and partnered with Samsung a while back to offer their services with an established brand. Following up on the previous Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK 10.1 that was launched with Barnes & Noble in October of last year is the new Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK 8-inch tablet.

Basically you are getting all the goods that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 offers, like a octa-core processor, 3GBs RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera and a 4,000 mAh battery. Not to mention the included finger print sensor for extra security. The difference between the general variant of the Tab S2 and the Tab S2 NOOK is all in the included apps and software for using your B&N account on the go. You will also find the usual things from Samsung as well as Microsoft apps.

NOOK

One would think that a B&N branded variant would come in with a slightly different cost than a stock one online, but it doesn’t. The Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK will retail for the same $399.99 that Samsung sells the device for. However, your purchase does garner you some additional perks that you won’t get else where like three free books, three magazines and a $5 credit towards their first purchase from the online store that is pre-installed. All of which are great if you a big reader.

Direct your browser over to NOOK.com to take a closer look and get your order placed if your do so desire.

Movie studios going after Popcorn Time users in new lawsuit

popcorn_time_chromecastPopcorn Time made a name for itself as the “Netflix for Torrents,” which is obviously a pretty legally ambiguous area in many countries. Needless to say, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that a new round of lawsuits is being handed out to Popcorn Time users.

The lawsuits are coming from the movie studio behind The Expendables movies, and they’re going after users that streamed Pierce Brosnan’s Survivor. The studio tracked IP addresses that downloaded or shared the movie, and they’re planning on subpoenaing ISPs for real names. Not good news for anyone on the service.

This is unique case in that the movie studio is going after individual users, not just distributors or the site itself. Technically, though, streaming movies like this is illegal in the US, so the studio will probably have a case. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out.

Apple Planning to Launch 4K 21.5-Inch iMac in Late October

Apple will announce an updated 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display at the end of October alongside the release of OS X El Capitan, reports 9to5Mac. The new iMac will then begin shipping out to customers in early November.

A new 21.5-inch Retina iMac has been anticipated for several months, following the discovery of code in OS X El Capitan that pointed towards a 21.5-inch machine with a resolution of 4096 x 2304. That code pointed towards Broadwell chips with Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 and AMD Radeon M380 – M395X discrete graphics, which may hint at the hardware we’ll see in the updated iMac.

imacs.jpg
Reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said in early August that the iMac line would receive a refresh this quarter, adding new processors and improved display quality that brings greater color saturation.

Apple began updating its iMac lineup last October, with the launch of the 27-inch Retina iMac. Updates across the line have been slow, however, due to Intel’s ongoing Broadwell chip delays, and the 21.5-inch iMac has not seen an update since 2013.

It is not clear if Apple will release multiple 21.5-inch iMac models during the October refresh, or which chips those machines might use. Skylake chips appropriate for the iMac are launching “later this year,” but there are a handful of Broadwell chips appropriate for various 21.5-inch iMac models.

The new Street View app will allow users to see “collections and content” from Google Maps all around the world, in addition to photospheres contributed from users.

Samsung Gear S2 will work with almost any Android device

With IFA 2015 still happening, it seems that the majority of the major announcements have died down. Now the manufacturers are filling in the holes such as pricing and availability, compatibility, and other questions that may pop up about these new devices.

Speaking of developing information, Samsung is starting to reveal a bit more about the Gear S2. The first bit of news is pretty surprising and awesome at the same time. Those who were intrigued by Samsung’s previous wearable devices, were stuck without, unless they already owned a compatible Samsung device. With the release of the Gear S2, Android users across the board will be able to jump on the Gear S2 bus.

This compatibility breakthrough for Samsung doesn’t come without a cost. The Gear S2 will ONLY be compatible with devices running Android KitKat 4.4 or higher, and your device MUST have at least 1.5 GB of RAM. Sorry if you’re on one of those older devices still, but maybe it’s time to look into the plethora of new devices and upgrade.

Let us know whether this development from Samsung will influence your decision for purchasing your next smartwatch.

Samsung Pay will come to the Gear S2 this November

In addition to cross-manufacturer compatibility, Samsung announced that Samsung Pay will be coming to the Gear S2 sometime in November. This will be possible due to the fact that there will be a Gear S2-specific application built into the smartwatch for easy use.

In order to keep your Gear S2 from being used for malicious purposes, Samsung has a two-step verification process built-in.

  • The watch continuously monitors your heart rate, so if you haven’t taken the watch off since the last time you authorized it for payments it’ll be painless to walk up to a PoS terminal and pay.
  • If the watch was removed from your wrist since the last time you made a payment, it will ask for a personalized PIN that you set up to authorize the next payment, and won’t ask again until the next time you take the watch off.

Finally, you will be able to use the Gear S2 with 3G capabilities with Samsung Pay even if your Gear S2 isn’t connected to your device. These are some awesome updates coming out of Samsung that aren’t even all the way related to Samsung phones.

Let us know what you think about these features of the Gear S2 in the comments down below. Will you be picking one of these up once they are ready for purchase?
