How to add people to shared Photo Streams in Photos for OS X
Photos for OS X makes it easy to add people to shared Photo Streams whenever you’d like.
Whether you’ve created some new shared Photo Streams or want to add someone to an existing one you already manage, adding them with the Photos app on your Mac is pretty straight forward. They’ll then receive an invitation to iCloud Photo Sharing they can join on any iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Before continuing, remember that in order to invite someone to a shared Photo Stream, you must be the owner of that stream. You can not invite new members to a shared stream that you do not own.
How to add someone to a stream with iCloud Photo Sharing and Photos for OS X
- Launch the Photos app on your Mac running OS X Yosemite or newer.
- Click on the Shared tab in the top menu.
- Click on the back button to get to the main stream view if you aren’t there already. The Activity section is the default view.
- Open the shared stream you’d like to add someone too.
- Click on the members button in the top right of the menu.
- Click inside the To field and type the name of the person you’d like to add. If they’re in your address book, they should automatically come up. If they aren’t, you can enter their email instead of their name.
- Hit Enter on your keyboard to save changes and send the invite.

Code signing WatchKit apps with Xcode 6.3
WatchKit apps are basically extensions that live on the iPhone but present interface on the Apple Watch.
That means the code for the WatchKit app also has to live in the iPhone app, and that can add an extra dimension to code signing — the process whereby the developer attaches their credentials to the app, a requirement for App Store distribution. What if any difference does this make for developers? Our own Nick Arnott, writing for his day job at POSSIBLE Mobile:
The problem here is that your WatchKit App and the parent app that it belongs to have been signed with different code signing identities after updating to Xcode 6.3. This validation step was occurring in Xcode 6.2, but build settings for the WatchKit App weren’t exposed in Xcode 6.2’s UI. Seemingly, the WatchKit app just inherited the build settings (including the code sign identity and provisioning profile) of the corresponding extension target. In Xcode 6.3, the WatchKit app target has its own build settings, and the newly-exposed build settings’ provisioning profile and code sign identity default to potentially problematic values (for us the provisioning profile went to Automatic, which changed the code sign identity to one that was unhelpful, resulting in a WatchKit app that was signed with a completely different identity than the parent app).
Way over my head, but if you’re developing for Apple Watch, go read it.

The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land mobile game delayed until fall 2015
The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land, an ambitious mobile game based on the hit AMC zombie TV series, will now be coming out this fall, instead of early 2015.
The news about the game and its delay comes as part of a new feature from Entertainment Weekly. No Man’s Land won’t be just about putting zombies out of their misery; players will have to control a group of human survivors and make sure they have enough to eat and plenty of shelter and safety. EW spoke with Next Games’ Kalle Kaivola about the game:
That survival aspect will involve training your group of multiple survivors and making the most of their specific skills and abilities. As Kalle ominously warns though, some poor saps could be sent packing, and survival sounds about as guaranteed as it is on the AMC show. “Not everyone will fit in your group or will be strong enough to go forward with you,” he explained.
The feature notes that The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land will be released first for iOS devices, but that an Android version will soon follow.

Apple reverses policy banning recent felons from working on Campus 2 construction
Apple today has decided to reverse its stance on a policy that prevented recently convicted felons from working on its Campus 2 construction project.
Speaking to the San Jose Mercury News, an Apple spokesperson issued the following statement:
“It recently came to our attention that, as part of a background check process unique to the Apple Campus 2 construction project, a few applicants were turned away because they had been convicted of a felony within the past seven years,” the spokesman said in a statement. “We recognize that this may have excluded some people who deserve a second chance. We have now removed that restriction and instructed our contractors on the project to evaluate all applicants equally, on a case by case basis, as we would for any role at Apple.”
An earlier report out of the San Jose Mercury News claimed that fewer than five people had been fired because of their criminal history, but the policy still drew fire from unions.
