Google Receives Spoiler Patent

by John_A

spoiler-alert

We’ve all been there: you’re perusing the internet the day after Game of Thrones comes on, but you’re going to watch it in the evening with HBO Now. Suddenly, you are attacked with news of Tormund’s death (everyone calm down, I’m joking, he’s still kicking.) and the entire episode is ruined. Worry no more, because Google has received a patent that will allow it to view what you’ve watched from your streaming services and remove results that relate to unwatched episodes of your favorite shows.

Although this seems to be a great idea, it’s important to remember that Google doesn’t always pursue its patents, so we may never see this come to fruition.
