Possible Apple Watch retail packaging shown off in new photos
An Instagram user has posted some images to the social network today showing off what could be retail packaging for the Apple Watch.
The images show off what appears to be the packaging for the Apple Watch itself, as well as boxes for standalone straps. The aesthetic certainly fits into what we’ve come to expect from the simple, understated packaging Apple typically uses for its products. However, the images have appeared seemingly at random, and there’s no way to be certain that this is indeed the official Apple Watch packaging. In any event, you can check out the images below and judge for yourself. Update: The images have since been pulled from Instagram, but we managed to snag a couple of screenshots and have embedded them below.
In any case, the Apple Watch goes up for pre-order on April 10 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, with a launch date set for April 24, so while we recommend taking the above images with the requisite (giant) grain of salt, we should know much more relatively soon.
