AirDroid V3.0.4.2 Beta Release notes posted online
The folks over at AirDroid have just published a set of release notes for a beta update they plan to start rolling out soon. The upgrade will bring two new features to the app, together with a whole host of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.
The first new feature is called “Nearby” and allows users to scan for devices that are using AirDroid on the same Wi-Fi network. Once a handset is found, they’ll easily be able to transfer files.
The second is “Friend”, which is essentially an extended feature for Nearby. If you’ve sent files to a Nearby user, you’ll have the facility to add them as a friend, so you can easily send them content when they’re not nearby.
