Regarding Apple Watch trademark and Switzerland

There’s a trademark in Switzerland that might complicate an Apple Watch launch in that country — except Apple has yet to announce one.

The trademark, for a logo showing a stylized image of an apple with the word “APPLE” in italics cutting horizontally across the middle, was filed in 1985 and expires this December.

The trademark is in the news thanks to RTS and Reuters, who picked up their report yet somehow managed to misidentify the nature of the intellectual property claim as a patent instead of a trademark.

All of this is currently moot, however, because Apple hasn’t announced an Apple Watch launch for Switzerland yet. That means there’s nothing to “hit” and really no story at all. Not unless and until Apple announces a launch for Switzerland that comes before the expiration date on the trademark.

For now, we have 9 countries enough to worry about come pre-orders on April 10 and release on April 24.

Grab the Nexus 6 off Amazon for as low as $584

One criticism about the Nexus 6 was that it didn’t share the same cheap price-point that the other devices in the Nexus lineup did, but Amazon have given the device a price drop.

Amazon is selling the unlocked 32GB blue version for just $583.90 – that’s 10% off! In addition, the white 32GB version is $597.94, with the white 64GB version $671.17.

How to set up the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge

The Galaxy S6 has a pretty extensive setup process, but it accomplishes a lot the first time you turn your phone on.

While it sure would be nice for every phone to have the same exact setup process when you first turn it on, that just isn’t the case. Even within manufacturers, new versions of software usually bring a new setup process, and while they may be familiar they aren’t always the same. The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge guide you through the process pretty smoothly and get a lot done in just a few steps — let us walk you through it.
