Remember the Notion Ink Adam II we saw back in July? Well, the Indian company finally decided to announce it, and it comes with something we didn’t even think about – a thin ticker display on the side. The successor of Adam comes with many nice features, and it will be available in both WiFi and 3G variants.
It comes with a 10.1-inch IPS (1280×800 pixels) display with Asahi scratch resistant glass protection, a dual-core Cortex A9 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, quad-core Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 3.15-megapixel rear camera and a front camera – capable of recording 720p video recording, 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, dual front facing speakers and a 6,000mAh battery. Also it includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and last but of course not the least, its running on Android 4.2.2.
It will be available for RS16,500 ($265) for the Wi-Fi model and RS19,000 ($305) for the 3G version. It is only available in India right now, and no words on when it will hit the international market- but when it will, we will let you know.
So are you planning to buy one? Don’t forget to tell us in the comment box below.

Verizon HTC One users should have a happy week this week, as they will be getting their Android 4.3 update, or at least we hope they are getting it. The rollout for the update was delayed by a month by Verizon and HTC, leaving users wondering when they are going to get their enhanced Jelly Bean. Then we finally got info from the Executive Director of Product Management at HTC, who posted on Twitter handle @moversi these uplifting words:
VzW HTC One Owners: We have received Technical Approval from Verizon on the 4.3 MR! We expect the OTA to start early next week! Thank You!
Sadly no Sense 5.5 coming with this update. That will be updated with the Android 4.4 update, that will most likely start rolling out at the end of January.
So keep a lookout for the update this week. Hopefully this info is correct, and you can taste that enhanced Jelly Bean by the end of the week. Let us know when you receive it.

It’s been a long slog for LTE latecomer Sprint, but the Hesse-led operator’s finally kicking into high gear and getting that 4G coverage out to a significant chink of its nationwide subscriber base. Despite a slow start at the beginning of the year, Sprint now claims an LTE footprint that spans 300 markets, with 70 added just today including major cities like Orlando, Fla.; San Diego, Calif.; and St. Louis, Mo. And that’s just for Sprint’s “plain” 4G LTE. Subscribers that are interested in Spark-level speeds (the carrier’s enhanced LTE service capable of up to 60 Mbps down) will have to either live in one of the select launch areas or sit tight with that tri-band device a little longer and wonder at the speedy possibilities.
Sony’s just announced an upgrade to Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) for the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra, and it’s tacking on some of its own enhancements along with the standard performance tweaks. The super-sized Xperia Z Ultra, for one, will now include the Smart Social Camera suite for sharing media across social networks, utilizing image-recognition technology and adding AR effects, among other things. For Z Ultra users who’ve been envying the Z1′s photo-focused feature set, this should be a welcome addition — though, of course, a software update can’t magically upgrade that 8-megapixel shooter to a 20.7MP cam.
The update also adds improved versions of Sony’s native apps, including Messaging, MyXperia and Smart Connect, along with the company’s media apps such as Walkman. The rollout has just begun, so keep an eye out; according to Sony, other Xperia devices should be getting the bump to 4.3 soon.

Devices with the PureView tag attached have not only the best shooters in Nokia’s Lumia range, but also exclusive access to the relatively new Nokia Camera app. Today, though, that latter privilege is being extended to all Lumias with the launch of the Nokia Camera beta program. Any Windows Phone 8 handset that’s been updated to Amber or above can now use the software — an amalgam of, and successor to Nokia’s Pro and Smart camera apps. As it’s not quite ready for a full store debut, you’ll need to sign up with Nokia Beta Labs at the source if you want early, and perhaps buggy access.
Sprint on Monday announced that there are 70 new markets with the carrier’s 4G LTE network. Having crossed the 300 city mark, the coverage doesn’t so much as expand as it does fill in holes. Notably, San Diego, St. Louis, and Green Bay are among the bigger markets getting quicker data speeds.
For reasons unknown, Sprint seems to be avoiding Ohio like the plague; only Salem (population 12,000) has access to the 4G LTE network.
Looking ahead to the next few years, Sprint anticipates its new Spark 4G LTE will roll out to 100 markets within three years. As of today it is only offered in five markets; few devices are compatible with the network.

Philips today updated its Philips Hue app to version 1.2, adding a much needed iOS 7-style redesign to the app. Along with a new look, the Philips Hue app has gained a new sidebar that allows users to quickly select various in-app options like Light Control.
Previously, Light Control, which allows users to change the colors of lights individually, was accessed by swiping upwards on the screen to access the Light Overview and then turning the iPhone to landscape mode for a control view. The new sidebar simplifies the light manipulating process with easy access menus.
The app now lets users save the current status of lights as a scene directly from the Light Control menu with the “save” button and lights can also be reordered from within the app settings. Sidebar notifications have been added as well, to let users know when an update is available.
What’s New in Version 1.2.0
Introducing the new look hue app:
– New iOS 7 style design
– Added sidebar navigation to make functionality easier to find
– Added introduction demo
– Lights can now be reordered from the app settings
– Save current status of lights as a scene from light control
– Added sidebar notifications
First introduced in late 2012, Philips’ Hue lighting system provides users with wireless-enabled LED lightbulbs that can be controlled remotely via an iPhone app. The lights have several variations of white and can also be changed into a rainbow of colors, also supporting themes, scheduling, and dimming.
Late Thursday night, singer Beyoncé released a new album exclusively on iTunes, with significant promotion both on the iTunes Store and across social media.
In a press release today, Apple said the album is the fastest selling ever on the iTunes Store, moving 828,773 units worldwide in its first three days of availability. The album sold 617,213 copies in the U.S., and went to number one on the iTunes chart in 104 countries.
The self-titled, BEYONCÉ, is the fifth solo studio album from Beyoncé, which was made available exclusively worldwide on the iTunes Store on December 13 by Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. The self-titled set is the artist’s first visual album. BEYONCÉ is infused with 14 new songs and 17 visually stunning, provocative videos shot around the world from Houston to New York City to Paris, and Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, all before the album’s release. The album represents Beyoncé’s biggest sales week ever.
The iTunes Store is the world’s most popular music store with a catalog of over 26 million songs and is available in 119 countries. The iTunes Store is the best way for iPhone®, iPad®, iPod®, Mac® and PC users to legally discover, purchase and download music online. All music on the iTunes Store comes in iTunes Plus®, Apple’s DRM-free format with high-quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings.
The album is currently featured in every slot on the promotion carousel at the top of the iTunes Store. It is dubbed a “visual album” because each song has an accompanying music video.
What does one get for the eccentric billionaire who has it all? A gold-plated Xbox One from famed retailer Harrods of London is a start, and it turns out that Harrods is selling just that in its London store right now. Of course, that kind of bespoke game console experience comes with a hefty price tag: £6,000 (around $9,800), or about £5,600 more than a standard Xbox One in the UK. But then, if you’re already spending nearly $10K on your favorite eccentric billionaire, why not buy them this luxurious African safari hunting package? Or how about a trip to this underwater hotel? The world really is your play thing when money is no object, eh?
