LG introduces Smart Lamp that communicates with your Android
Just like Phillips, LG is also planning to release its first ever smart light bulb as well, and it will be known as LG Smart Lamp; I am sure Edison will be proud of LG right now. LG didn’t tell us when they will start shipping it, but we know that it will retail for $32/35,000 Korean won, which is really affordable compared to Phillips Hue. About the bulb, it is is a low-voltage bulb that is said to be 80% power efficient than typical incandescent bulbs.
Now lets talk about the best thing of the LG Smart Lamp. The bulb is compatible with Android, which means you can control the functions of the lamp with the help of an app on your smartphone. The app works with devices Android 4.3 and above, and it will connect with your device via Bluetooth connection. LG claims that the lamp will work for 10 years based on a usage estimate of five hours per day.
And about some of the functions of the lamp; you can control the brightness of the light with your smartphone, there’s a “security mode” that will let you schedule the smart lights to turn on and off at specific times, plus it will start flashing when you are getting a call on your smartphone.

Android 4.4.3 rumored to address camera bug, report says
A new version of Android could be released within the next few weeks, according to new reports. A 4.4.3 release said to address camera bugs is being tested under the KTU72B. The source of the rumor is a reputable one and has accurately predicted plenty of Android announcements as it pertains to the platform. Check out the tweet below:

HTC resume Android 4.4 KitKat update rollout in UK
Following the halt HTC put on the rollout of Android 4.4.2 KitKat for its devices in the UK after many users began experiencing difficulties following the update, HTC have resumed the rollout.
Customers on all the major UK carriers should begin to see the update trickle down to their devices following the lift of the hiatus.
HTC took to their Facebook page to issue a statement:
“We can confirm that the 4.4 KitKat update has now been re-released in the UK”.
The update comes with build number 4.19.401.11 and is around 308MB in size. The update is being rolled out to Vodafone, O2, and Three, as well as unlocked devices, but those devices locked to EE will have to wait since HTC state the update is still in the integration phase.
Go ahead and hit that update button in the Settings app to see if the KitKat goodness has been readied on your device.

LG’s first smart light bulb flashes when you get a phone call
LG isn’t about to let household heavyweights like Philips corner the connected lighting space — it just unveiled the Smart Lamp, its first take on the concept. The 10W LED bulb gives Android and iOS users a familiar level of control over their illumination, including a light-based alarm clock and a security mode that pretends you’re at home. There are a couple of noteworthy tricks in this initial offering, however. The light connects through both Bluetooth and WiFi, letting it pull the sync-based stunts we’ve seen in a few other bulbs: it can flash when you get a phone call, or (with Android) pulse to the beat of the music. The Smart Lamp is more expensive than ordinary LEDs at 35,000 won ($32) in LG’s native Korea, but it could be a good deal if you don’t need the many-colored lighting of Hue and similar systems. Unfortunately, there’s no word on whether or not it’s coming to the US.

City Monkey goes bananas on Android
Like most of us, you have probably yearned for an pixel-art styled multiplayer game that lets you shoot banana rockets and pineapple grenades at your friends. City Monkey provides that in a Worms-like atmosphere where you can go bananas on your friends.
The violently fun shooter game lets you blow up your friends and random online players through an online ranking system where players meet. There are only a few weapons in the game in an effort to keep the game’s simplistic style fun.
The goal of the game is to rank higher and unlock your weapons by climbing the ranks. As your reach different grades in the game your monkey will experience a color change. The more points you score and monkeys you defeat the further up the rankings you will climb.

Ask Google Search on Android to ‘play some music’ and… it will
Sometimes, having your entire music collection in your pocket can be a bit overwhelming. When there are hundreds (or in our case, thousands) of tracks at your disposal, where do you even begin to listen? To help thwart that paralysis of choice, Google is going to do the guessing for you with its latest tweak to Search. From Google Now or the search bar, simply say the magic words “play some music” and your Android device will start playing a random Play Music “I’m feeling lucky” mix that’s based on recent listening habits. With its deep catalog of tunes, it’s pretty easy to imagine that this feature’s benefits increase exponentially if you’re paying for Mountain View’s All Access service, too. Subscriber or not, though, if you’re stuck in a Nine Inch Nails rut, this could be the ticket out.

Apple may finally bring iTunes to Android due to drop in download Sales
For the longest time, Android users have had to deal with the absence of an official iTunes app from the Google Play Store; sure there are substitute apps, but that’s a far cry from an official app that evolves with Apple‘s aspirations and focuses, much like other music providers like Spotify and Pandora have done over the last few months. That void may be filled soon, however, as Billboard reports that Apple may finally bring iTunes to Android.
The change in heart is primarily due to a decrease in music download sales, down 11% according to Nielsen SoundScan. Conversely, while download sales are down, revenues from streaming sites like Spotify and Pandora have risen 39% in the past year, signalling to Apple that they should probably consider something along the lines of a music streaming service with an “All-Access” subscription model, possibly using the existing iTunes Radio platform as a starting point.

Apple reportedly considering iTunes Store for Android phones
Apple’s iTunes store may still be one of the most popular sources for downloading cheap music, but you need an iOS device to take advantage, and that leaves a heck of a lot of smartphone owners out in the cold. Rather than have those users hand over heaps of cash to competitors, it makes sense for Apple to bring its iTunes store to Android. And according to Billboard, that’s exactly what Cupertino may be considering. The magazine’s own sources claim that Apple has begun discussions with several record label execs, with topics ranging from a streaming service to compete with Spotify to an iTunes app for Android devices. Launching such an application isn’t as simple as dropping it in Google Play, however. Complex negotiations with record labels are reportedly in the very early stages at this point, so it’ll likely be some time before we see this latest concept materialize, if it’s due to debut at all.
