Nikola Labs launches Kickstarter for S6 case that charges your phone from wasted radio waves

Last month there was a lot of talk about a case from Nikola Labs. The case in question was one that was built for the iPhone 6 and was more than a pipe dream. CEO, Will Zell debuted a fully functional prototype that charged the iPhone 6 without the need for traditional power from a battery bank or wall outlet. Today the company is launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring the new technology to market and, with such an overwhelming response to the technology, they are also bringing a case for the Galaxy S6.

In the simplest form, the case captures RF waves, like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE, and converts that into usable DC power that is pushed back into the device’s battery. It isn’t going to keep your device at 100% all day every day, but the company says that you will save around 30% of your battery’s life with the case on. Essentially it will slow the battery depletion and give your device the ability to last longer on a single charge.

Nikola Labs

Product Features

The Nikola phone case increases battery life by slowing the rate at which the phone’s internal battery discharges and does this:

  • Without impacting data transmission rates or call quality
  • With no supplemental batteries, allowing the case to be significantly slimmer than typical powered cases
  • While providing a layer of protection through its lightweight, high-strength polycarbonate material offered in a variety of colors
  • With easy access to the headphone jack and charging port

The Kickstarter campaign is live and you help back the product starting at $99. That will get you either the iPhone 6 case or one for the Samsung Galaxy S6. At the time of this announcement they have a tentative shipping date of February 2016.

Nikola Labs 2

Nikola Labs will be expanding the product line with plans to create internet routers that will also be captured by the case to charge the battery. I was actually reading about this earlier this week where tests with a simple firmware update to a variety of routers was able to charge devices while within Wi-Fi range. While still in its early phases, it is cool none the less. Pretty soon we won’t need to hug the wall or carry around battery banks. I, for one, am pretty excited to see how it all comes together over the next couple of years.

Interested in backing the project? Head over to the Nikola Labs Kickstarter page now.

The Bluetooth Keyboard and Style Cover accessories are now in stock for Sony’s Xperia Z4 Tablet

Xperia_Z4_Tablet_Group

Sony’s Xperia Z4 Tablet may only become available from June 29th in the UK, thanks to another delay, but there are some signs at least that it will happen, at some point. This sliver of hope is derived from the listing of a couple of accessories for the tablet on Sony’s website.

Xperia Z4 Tablet bluetooth-keyboard-BKB50The first accessory listed is the Bluetooth keyboard attachment (model BKB50) with a price tag of £149 ($230), although it should be noted that the keyboard will be bundled with official stock of the Xperia Z4 Tablet at time of purchase.

Xperia Z4 Tablet style-cover-stand-SCR32-blackThe second accessory is the Style Cover SCR32 that offers adjustable viewing angles as well as the auto on/off function as you open and close the flap. The Style Cover is available for £38.99 ($60). Hopefully, the Xperia Z4 Tablet will be available to order by June 29th, as Sony have promised.

LG’s recent flagship device, the LG G4, is live across all US carriers and that means if you picked one up, or plan to soon, you should start considering accessories. The LG G4 is one of the few high-end devices on the market that kept the removable back a standard feature of the device. LG was also keen to take the opportunity to create a slew of back plate options for customers. While certain carrier models offer certain back cover options, it is easy enough to swap it out for something different. In an effort to help you get the best look for any occasion, LG is offering up a buy one get one free promo on all their leather backs now through June 30th.

LG G4

The LG page tells you to choose your carrier to see what backs are available, which doesn’t make a lot of sense as all five colors options are available for all carriers. In all truthfulness, they are available for any LG G4 since the external aspects of the device are the same everywhere. The leather backs aren’t cheap by any means as they retail for $69.99 each. Head over to the LG G4 leather back cover page and choose your two colors, add them to your cart and checkout. Before you spend the money you will see the second back cover is listed for free in your cart. The covers are still in a pre-order status at the moment, but they are slated to start shipping out after June 26th.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review: Touching is allowed

I love wireless Bluetooth headphones, but one of the things that bugs me the most about them are unintuitive controls mounted on the headset themselves – too often, I find myself feeling around for the right button to press, which can become a real pain if you’re doing it day in and day out. MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones aim to do away with all these buttons and simply use touch to manipulate your audio experience, which sounds great, in theory. Which is why we’ve been taking them for a spin – let’s check it out.

What’s in the box

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review
MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review

In the box of the Air-Fi Touch you will find a capsule-shaped hard case containing the headphones and an assortment of accessories. With the Air-Fi Touch, you will get a 2.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable (for when your battery runs flat) and a microUSB charging cable to charge your headphones back up. As always, I’m extremely happy that MEElectronics has included a case to house the headphones (and accessories) as their Air-Fi range has always been versatile travel companions.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewAs you can probably surmise from the title of this review, the Air-Fi Touch headphones are wireless via Bluetooth. With no cables attached, the headset is incredibly light even with the controls mounted on the left side, which brings us to the name of the headphones and its secret party trick: Touch. Yes, the Air-Fi Touch employs the use of touch gestures to control your music, and we’ll cover how it is to use a little later on in the review.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewObjectively, I quite like the way the Air-Fi Touch looks, particularly as the form factor reminds me of the VOXOA headphones I reviewed last year. There is an element of class though with the Air-Fi Touch, particularly with the glossy black finish and gold highlights. The headset itself is fully collapsible which makes it a snap to pack up and remains compact even when in its case.

How do they perform

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewThe thing that keeps me coming back the MEElectronics’ products is that they not only have great sounding headphones for a great price – they have great audio quality period, and the Air-Fi Touch is business as usual. The high and mid ranges are extremely clear and crisp, while there’s enough bass to keep everything in balance. Those of you who listen to lots of EDM or house music may find the native bass a little lacking, but this can always be modified with an equalizer.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewOn to those touch controls, for which these headphones are named. There are four directional commands the Air-Fi Touch can take which are two volumes (up and down) and skipping tracks (back and forward). Unlike a smart device’s display, the controls aren’t quite as responsive so you’ll need quite a large movement and more pressure than you’d expect to get a swipe to register – for example, you would swipe up to increase volume and down to decrease volume. It takes a bit of time to get used to the motion, but once practiced, it’s easy enough to manage while the headphones are on your head.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review
MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review
MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Review

Comfort-wise, the Air-Fi Touch headphones are very similar to the VOXOA headphones I mentioned earlier, but I would say that these ones are a little bit tighter. Unfortunately, that does mean that after an extended period of listening (probably around 4 hours), my ears did start to ache a bit, but I generally do have more issues with headphones as my head is quite large – if you have a smaller head, your experience may vary. Even so, I would say overall, the Air-Fi Touch is quite comfortable, and the leather padded ear pads are extremely comfortable and set gently on your ears. The headband is likewise generously padded and works well, especially considering how light the Air-Fi Touch headphones are.

What I like about the MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Headphones

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewI really love how versatile the Air-Fi Touch headphones are – being able to be folded up and stored in a protective case is a big plus for travellers, and the fact that they still function with an audio cable is also really useful too when you don’t know when your next charge up is.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewI am also incredibly impressed by the battery life of the Air-Fi Touch – while I don’t want to make it sound like hyperbole, I honestly don’t remember needing to charge them all that often over the course of my review. MEElectronics claims that they will last 24 hours of playback, and I’m pretty certain you’ll be getting at least that, if not a little bit more.

What I don’t like about the MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Headphones

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewTypically, when you adjust the volume using your headset controls, you expect it to change the volume on your device. Unfortunately, this is not what happens with the Air-Fi Touch as it appears to have a volume setting for the headset independent of the volume your device is outputting – in fact, I went through most of this review thinking they were too soft until I realized this was the case. It’s a small annoyance, but it’s a bit frustrating if you alternate between changing volume on the headset and your device frequently.

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewThis one almost pains me to say but I don’t think touch gestures belong on headsets – note that this has nothing to do with the Air-Fi Touch in particular but just touch controls on headphones in general. While the controls themselves work well enough, they still possess the same problem that normal wireless headset buttons have which, to me, is that they’re never quite intuitive enough and you always end up thinking about which direction to swipe. Volume, in this case, was fine as it makes sense to go up and down, but skipping tracks was always an ordeal for me. And with touch in particular, if you’re using the Air-Fi Touch in public and you’re swiping away at your headset, I can only imagine what it might look like to other people. But keep in mind that this is just my opinion and as I said earlier, there’s nothing wrong with how the controls themselves work so if this is your cup of tea, swipe away.

Final Thoughts

MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ReviewThe MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones ticks all the right boxes – it’s versatile, portable, and has great audio quality, which is basically what you want from any set of headphones. As for the novelty of its party trick i.e. touch gestures, there are a few little things that irk me personally, but none that I would call dealbreakers or anything that takes away from the fact that these are a fantastic pair of Bluetooth headphones.

If you’re interested in checking out more about the MEElectronics Air-Fi Touch Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Headphones, they retail for $99.99 USD on the MEElectronics site here.

Attention musicians and Android owners across the globe, your dreams have just come true. Well, maybe not entirely, but still, this announcement is one that I am sure many of you guys will be pleased to learn about.  IK Multimedia is now shipping the iRig UA. This little device provides high-quality sound with zero-latency. In English, it produces killer sound without a time delay. Like I need to say much more to get guitarists and bassist interested, but the iRig UA is compatible with nearly every Android device that sports Android 4.2 or newer so long as OTG USB works with the device. If you happen to own a Samsung Professional Audio compatible device (Note 4, Note Edge and others) with Android 5.0, the device can also act as a recording unit as well.

iRig UA live

If you can’t tell, I am pretty excited about this news. Previously the iRig units, and associated app, was only available to iOS users. So breaking that exclusive to include Android after 5 years is pretty stellar. To make the whole thing work correctly, you need the iRig UA device, which is shipping globally for $99.99 and the free AmpliTude UA app from the Play Store. The app is really just the effects brains and offers you access to 21 pieces of gear with in-app purchase options for 22 more pieces. You gain 9 effects: Noise Filter, Delay, Overdrive, Wah, Chorus, Flanger, Phazer and Octave (plus Distortion upon registration). Then use those with 5 amplifiers with matching cabinets: Lead, Clean, Bass, Crunch and Metal.

iRig AmpliTude app

Feature list:

• First real-time guitar and bass mobile multi-effects app for all Android devices
• Zero latency processing on any Android device* when paired with iRig UA
• Full rig with 3 simultaneous stomp boxes, an amp with effects, a cabinet and a mic
• Comes with 9 stompbox effects, 5 amplifiers, 5 cabinets and 2 mics
• Gear library can be expanded with branded gear from Fender, Orange, Ampeg, Soldano and more
• Enhanced presets system
• Chromatic tuner included
• Can be used without iRig UA in a fully functional mode that does not allow audio-in (a dry audio demo is provided for playing purposes)

Moving right along to more technical aspects like 24-bit A/D converter with a 44.1/48kHz sampling rate and crystal clear low-noise preamp. What really has me drooling is the device offers your traditional 1/4″ jack for your guitar or bass, a micro USB to OTG cable and a 1/8″ to plug a set of headphone in. Basically you are getting a mobile amp and a slew of effects peddles that plug into your phone allowing you to rock out anywhere at anytime.

Check out the app on the Play Store and get over to the IK Multimedia iRig UA page to order your unit today.

Android Auto Review – Hyundai Sonata 2015

In Google’s attempt to be a part of almost every aspect of your life, they are now moving into the automotive realm, and while it took more than a year, if the recent mention at Google I/O 2015 is any indication, we can expect to find Android Auto in a slew of vehicles by the end of 2016. Last week, Hyundai announced that they were the first car manufacturer to feature Android Wear on production vehicles, starting with the Hyundai Sonata 2015, which is what we have on hand today.

We find out exactly what it brings to the table, or rather, to the car, in this in-depth Android Auto review!

Android Auto Features

android auto hyundai sonata aa (2 of 9)

Before getting started, it has to be mentioned that there are two versions of the Hyundai Sonata that can be seen in the video above. The silver car is the one that features Android Auto, but I was also sent a white version about a month ago, which didn’t come with Android Auto, but helped me familiarize myself with the other features of the Sonata that were already built-in.

android auto review aa (13 of 16)

Android Auto isn’t an independent system, and does require the phone to be connected to the in-built system in the car, which is done using a microUSB cable, and not Bluetooth as some might expect. Pairing the phone to the system is very simple via the Android Auto app that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The Play Store also features a list of apps that work with Android Auto, and is also the case with Android Wear, if an app you already have installed on your phone is compatible, it will automatically show up on the dashboard menu.

android auto review aa (3 of 16)

The Android Auto interface is fairly simplistic, taking on the familiar form of Google Now cards. If you have searched for any locations using Google or Google Now, or have any locations, such as Home or Work, already saved, those particular cards will show up, tapping on which will begin navigation to that destination. Of course, the full functionality of Google Now isn’t there, but apart from navigation, other key information such as missed calls, messages, and weather at your location are all available.

android auto review aa (1 of 16)

Jumping over to the media side of things, any compatible apps that are installed on your phone will show up on the list, which in my case, include Google Play Music, HeartRadio, NPR One, and Pocket Casts, the interfaces of which are also in a more basic form. For example, opening Google Play Music gives you direct access to player controls, with a menu on the left corner available to navigate through the various options such as Playlists, Albums, Listen Now, and more.

android auto review aa (5 of 16)

When it comes to the call functions, tapping on the phone button shows you a list of contacts, with the most recent call information at the top, followed by all the Starred contacts, giving you quick and easy access to anyone you might want to get in touch with. The menu gives you the option to access your call history, view missed calls, dial a number, or listen to your voicemail. Tapping on the microphone icon at the top right corner allows you to use voice commands to call a person as well, just as you would using Google Now on your phone.

Performance

android auto review aa (12 of 16)

When the car is parked, you can type out and search for a destination, but voice control is available here as well. Just say the name of the location, and once Google finds out, you can start navigation. The Google Maps section has a menu as well, with sections including categories, suggestions, and traffic information.

android auto review aa (11 of 16)

As mentioned, making a call is very simple, and the call quality is as good as expected. What is interesting though, and very useful, is how Android Auto handles text messages. When receiving a message, it shows up as a heads up notification, and when you click on it, the messages will be read out to you, including, hilariously, emoticons. Tapping on the microphone button and saying reply will let you answer the last message you received, using voice dictation to do so.

android auto review aa (6 of 16)

As you may have seen in the video, using Android Auto can lead to some frustration, because of the dependency on your phone and its internet connection. If you’re phone isn’t working, or you are in a location with a spotty wireless connection, the functionality of Android Auto is severely limited as well. That said, when it does work, it works really well, and sending a text message is also fairly uncomplicated.

Is it worth it?

android auto review aa (9 of 16)

The big question with regards to Android Auto is whether it is that much better than the navigation and infotainment systems already in place, which is honestly a very difficult question to answer. When it comes to the built-in system of the Sonata, you can connect your phone to it via Bluetooth, giving you easy access to the media on your phone. Also useful is the steering wheel integration, letting you control everything from it.

android auto review aa (10 of 16)

Android Auto does let you change the application you are using, so if you were listening to music and wanted to switch over to a podcast, that can easily be done using Android Auto. Answering and making calls is also very easy to do, but text messaging isn’t possible with the Hyundai system, which is a plus for Android Auto.

android auto review aa (8 of 16)

The navigation system also seems more robust with the built-in system, with a lot more options available within easy access. Similar options are available with Android Auto as well, but does require a few extra taps to go into the menu and find the various categories, and the implementation on the built-in system is a lot better. Android Auto is wholly dependent on your Google searches, while the Hyundai system is a lot more fleshed out, with maps that can be updated using SD cards, and location searches also powered by Google, without having to rely on your phone to do everything.

android auto review aa (15 of 16)

Car manufacturers have spent years building robust navigation and infotainment systems for their vehicles that do a great job. Android Auto doesn’t seem to bring much more to the table, and for now, isn’t much more than a very nice add-on. If you’re looking to do everything the Google way, the option is available to you, but if you’re already having a good time with the built-in navigation system, Android Auto, in its current iteration, isn’t yet ready to completely replace what is already available.

Final Thoughts

android auto review aa (14 of 16)

So there you have it for this in-depth look at Android Auto! The version that is seen in the video is what you’ll get with all other car manufacturers as well, and that is a nice feature of Android Auto. While Android Auto isn’t quite ready to be a complete replacement for what is already available, it does bring some useful features to the table, such as media app integration and text messaging using voice dictation, which can be great tools while on the road. Some polish is certainly required, but Android Auto is still in its very early stages, and will only get better over time.

The first products that support Apple’s HomeKit have arrived

Craig Federighi talks about HomeKit at Apple's WWDC 2014 event

A year after Apple first announced HomeKit, you can finally buy products based on the standard from Lutron and Insteon. Other manufacturers have also revealed new products coming soon: Elgato has sensors that can detect inputs like air pressure and energy consumption, Ecobee launched a smart thermostat and iHome unveiled a smart power outlet. Apple originally promised that HomeKit devices would be able talk to each other, and of course, you can control the whole works via your iPhone, iPad or Watch. Voice control, meanwhile, is done via Siri.

Lutron’s Caséta Wireless Smart Bridge will let users control lights, shades and other devices in specific rooms by barking commands at Siri or using a Watch or an iOS app. You can also set up geofencing so that lights flick on in a room as soon as you enter it, control them remotely (or program them) to come on while you’re away to discourage thieves. The Wireless Lighting Starter Kit is available today for $230, and you can add remote dimmer kits for $60.

Insteon is offering a bit broader solution with a full-on smart home hub that can control its current family of products (pricing is yet to come). Those include cameras, alarms, smart bulbs and other products that work across WiFi and RF standards. Elgato, meanwhile, brings its range of Eve sensors (above) that can detect temperature, humidity, energy use, motion and even weather quality. If you’re looking for a smart thermostat, Ecobee has you covered there with its $249 Ecobee3 model that’s coming in July.

It’s a modest start, and new as the products are, it remains to be seen if everything works as smoothly as Apple promised. It’s also likely we’ll hear more news soon (and possibly see more products), as it’s rumored that Apple will be revealing more HomeKit news during its WWDC developer’s conference next week.

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 Review: a light and elegant case for your smartphone

With sales of the Samsung Galaxy S6 in full swing now, there are no doubt quite a few users looking for a case to protect their beautiful, and yet fragile, smartphone. However, as is always the case when buying a case is: do I buy a case that compromises the beauty of my device by looking too rugged, or do I go for a case that is more aesthetically pleasing, but probably less protective. The Moshi iGlaze for the Samsung Galaxy S6 falls into the latter category, as many of Moshi‘s cases do, and we’re going to take a look at it today.

What’s in the box

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewInside the box is a pretty standard, simple affair: you’ll be getting the iGlaze case itself and a card to remind you that the case has a lifetime warranty. Moving onto the case itself, you’ll be getting a case with a brushed metal-esque finish, although Moshi says that it has used a “hybrid” material to make the iGlaze and it feels a lot more like plastic. Nevertheless, it is a very striking look and would not look out of place at work or home.

The case is actually two-tone, which the back rocking that metal finish and the front edges made of a slightly different plastic. For the most part, you won’t be able to tell the difference at a glance, but the material on the front half is less shiny and more of your standard plastic. The case is also phenomenally light which means you’ll hardly notice the extra weight after adding the case to your Galaxy S6 – Moshi says the iGlaze weighs in at 30 grams.

How does it perform

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewAs I mentioned earlier, although the case looks metal, the hybrid plastic the iGlaze is made from is actually very malleable and it was very easy to insert and remove my Samsung Galaxy S6 – not so much that it was easy to pop it out accidentally, but it definitely wasn’t a chore or particularly difficult.

The case provides coverings for all buttons, and although I couldn’t fully test them with my dummy Galaxy S6, they look well articulated and tactile enough to give you feedback as to whether you’ve pressed the button or not.

There’s also ample space for all access points to be reached. The only concern I have with these, in particular the hole for the camera, is that the back of the iGlaze case is actually flush with the outer face of the Galaxy S6 – if you had this sitting on its back all the time, I’d be concerned that scratching of the Galaxy S6’s outer lens would eventually occur. Luckily, this isn’t the case on the other side of the iGlaze as there is quite a substantial lip around the edge to protect the screen of the Galaxy S6.

What I like about the Moshi iGlaze

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewMy favourite part of the Moshi iGlaze is its looks – maybe it’s the brushed metal look or its slim frame, but I really like how minimalistic the case looks, something which has become synonymous with the Moshi brand by now.

It’s also surprisingly protective with plenty of protection for the main parts of the phone, but most of all the screen, something that other minimalistic cases often neglect.

What I don’t like about the Moshi iGlaze

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewAs mentioned previously, my primary concern with the iGlaze is the protection of the camera. Seeing as this is one of the highlights of the Galaxy S6, I’m surprised it didn’t get the same treatment the screen did, though that would make the whole case a little thicker thanks to the protruding camera. That said, that’s just me speculating so I wouldn’t be able to say this is the case long term.

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewI’m also a bit disappointed in the colour offerings – despite Samsung offering a plethora of colours for their devices, the iGlaze is currently only available in the Graphite Black that we reviewed and Carnation Pink (which trades black for grey on the front edge). Then again, if you go for the black version, there’s not much that doesn’t go with black.

Final thoughts

Moshi iGlaze for Samsung Galaxy S6 ReviewOverall, I’m very impressed with the Moshi iGlaze – as always, Moshi’s minimal take on cases is elegant and simple, which is exactly what some people want in a case for their device. It also provides the minimal amount of protection for your Galaxy S6, primarily protecting the display. If what you’re after is a case that provides a little more protection than a naked Galaxy S6, looks good while doing it, and is relatively cheap at $29.95 USD, you’ll want to consider the Moshi iGlaze case for the Galaxy S6.

NVIDIA launches the SHIELD and SHIELD Pro Android TV system at Google I/O 2015

NVIDIA’s newest member of their line-up, the SHIELD Android TV. At the time of the announcement they stated it would be launched in May. With the month coming to a close, some wondered if they would meet that deadline. I had a sneaky suspicion that they would make the device officially available at Google I/O, and they did. In an announcement this afternoon NVIDIA has made the Android TV SHIELD box available to purchase.

For those who haven’t been keeping their eye on this magical little device let me clue you in on a few little details. The SHIELD is a set-top box of sorts that runs Android TV. It packs in a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor, 256-core NVIDIA graphics, 3GB of RAM, and can push out 4K video and games to your TV. It brings all the greatness that is Android TV and the Play Store to your living room, but it does a bit more. It brings the ability to connect to your PC, if it is SHIELD streaming ready, to play your current PC games away from the desk. It also has access to NVIDIA’s GRID service where you can subscribe to an ever-growing number of titles and even purchase games specifically that stream from NVIDIA to your home.

We knew that when the device finally made its debut it would set back a user $199.99. Which, by itself, is an amazing price tag. However, there was some rumor, leaks and “oops” that lead us to think that they were going to deliver a secondary option. See, the $199.99 variant of the device carries 16GB of on-board storage. The leaked one carried 500GB of storage. NVIDIA previously denied the device and said it was a partner variant for developers and such. However, that is not the case. NVIDIA did in fact also launch the 500GB device and only tacked on $100, making it $299.99. Almost seems silly to not spend the extra $100 for that much more space.
