What’s on your HDTV: ‘OITNB,’ ‘Star Trek’ 4K Blu-ray, NBA Finals
The NHL has awarded its Stanley Cup, and this week the NBA Finals will wrap up — maybe even tonight. Later this week Netflix has season four of Orange is the New Black ready for your bingeing pleasure, as new summer series come to TV like Uncle Buck, Wrecked and Guilt. The last two Star Trek films have been remastered for Ultra HD Blu-ray, however we don’t have many new games while all the developers are busy this week at E3. Look after the break to check out each day’s highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

Kanye West releases game trailer for ‘Only One’
Producer, hip-hop artist, fashion designer and famous husband Kanye West has been busy lately. When he wasn’t working to put the not-so-final touches on The Life of Pablo or debuting Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden, Kanye was also working on an interactive video game companion for Only One — his 2014 single of the same name.
The footage debuted today at E3 and features a stripped-down version of the song, which follows an imagined conversation with his late mother about life, his children and growing older. As The Fader reports, Kanye’s interest in gaming actually predates his music career and the artist actually showed off some of the footage to developers at last year’s E3. While the trailer doesn’t offer much insights in the way of gameplay, it is lovely to look at:
According to Polygon, Kanye collaborated on the project with animation studio Encyclopedia Pictura, known for their earlier work with artists like Bjork and Grizzly Bear. Although there’s no release date yet, we think it’s a safe bet to say Kanye will pull a Kanye and release the game whenever he feels it’s good and ready.
Live from Sony’s PlayStation showcase at E3!
Sony is set to unveil the latest games and hardware updates for the PlayStation 4 tonight, and we’re on the ground at the big show. Rumor has it that Sony’s pièce de résistance is a new PS4 model with 4K output and all-around upgraded guts. Join us live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California starting at 6PM PT / 9PM ET — and make sure to bring your own popcorn because Sony is known for mic-drop moments.
Watch Sony’s E3 press conference right here
It’s hard to imagine Sony topping its E3 press conference from last year. Shenmue 3, The Last Guardian and a remake of Final Fantasy VII was a pretty jaw-on-the-floor combination. Still, this year could be a doozy too. We’re nearing the launch of the PlayStation VR, so a few extra game announcements wouldn’t go amiss. Throw in a new God of War and some fresh footage from Gran Turismo Sport, Dreams and Horizon Zero Dawn — that’s a packed show already. To keep up with the madness, you can watch Sony’s livestream right here (there’s also an audience camera feed for the full you-are-there- feeling) and follow along with the Engadget liveblog.

Madden NFL 16 championships will be broadcast live on ESPN2
While their deal with League of Legends may have been a pipe dream, ESPN is expanding their eSports coverage to something a little closer to the roots of the “Worldwide Leader in Sports.” On June 14th from 6–7:30 PM ET, ESPN2 will televise live coverage of EA’s Madden NFL 16 Championship series for the first time ever.
The live, in-person event will be broadcast from the Novo Theater in Los Angeles, where game Madden publisher Electronic Arts is currently hosting their weeklong EA Play event. Streaming coverage of the quarterfinals is already playing on EA’s site, but the TV broadcast of Tuesday’s championship game will mark the first time the sports channel has put the virtual Super Bowl on network TV. (For the cord cutters out there, it will also be streamed to desktop computer and set-top streaming boxes via the WatchESPN app.)
With eSports shaping up to bring in nearly half a billion dollars in revenue this year, and more and more traditional sports clubs adding eSports players to their rosters, it makes sense to see one of the biggest sports game franchises of all time make the leap to broadcast TV. On the other hand, the championship bonuses aren’t quite as lucrative in eSports yet — players in the Madden NFL 16 Championship are competing for just a piece of a $50,000 total prize pool.
‘God of War’ is coming to PS4
Kratos is back — and he brought his axe. Sony kicked off its E3 2016 press conference with a familiar face, as we’re finally getting a new God of War game on PS4. Moving on from last year’s God of War III remake, Sony has a new game that looks bigger in scale than anything we’ve seen before, which is saying something for this series. Kratos took on a giant and just before the end of the stage we saw…a dragon? Check after the break to watch the nearly 10-minute gameplay trailer yourself, just don’t expect any details like a release date just yet.

‘The Last Guardian’ finally arrives on October 25th
At last, that pesky bird rodent is almost ready to roam. The long-awaited, long in-development, The Last Guardian will hit PS4 on October 25th. The trailer didn’t show us much else (there appears to be multiple giant ratbirds…) but the game seems as melancholy and stylish as ever. Take a look for yourself below.
Sling TV Launches App for Apple TV Following WWDC Announcement
During the tvOS section of Apple’s WWDC keynote today, the company confirmed that Sling TV will be getting an app for the fourth-generation Apple TV. Now, Sling TV has confirmed that the live-streaming app is available to download from the tvOS store, “delivering a live, linear and on-demand multichannel pay-TV service all within a single app.”
The Apple TV rollout will introduce a brand-new user interface that the company plans to install on other devices in the coming months. Anyone who downloads Sling TV today to join its beta multi-stream service will additionally gain access to new channels owned by Fox; across all services, new channels from Viacom will also be available.
There’s a bundle discount available for users who have yet to purchase an Apple TV, and intend to join Sling TV as well. New customers will have the chance to purchase a new 32GB Apple TV for $89 (previously $150), when they also pre-pay for a three-month subscription to Sling TV ($20 per month), which would eventually equal the Apple TV’s original price.
More in-depth coverage of every big piece of tvOS and Apple TV news can be found in our WWDC keynote roundup.

iOS 10 Tidbits: Individual Read Receipts, Wake Alarm, Music Storage Optimization, and More
Apple today announced iOS 10, the next major version of its iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch software platform. The update is available in beta for Apple developers starting today, allowing early adopters to update and take a closer look at what’s new. A public beta will be available in July, followed by an official launch in the fall.
iOS 10 includes a number of changes that Apple neglected to mention in greater detail on stage during its WWDC 2016 keynote, including a new Wake Alarm in the Clock app, individualized read receipts, a new option in the Music app to optimize storage, and many other features outlined below.
Remove Stock Apps
iOS 10 enables users to remove the following built-in apps from the Home screen on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
• Calendar
• Compass
• Contacts
• FaceTime
• Find My Friends
• Home
• iBooks
• iCloud Drive
• iTunes Store
• Mail
• Maps
• Music
• News
• Notes
• Podcasts
• Reminders
• Stocks
• Tips
• Videos
• Voice Memos
• Watch app
• Weather
The apps are now available as standalone downloads on the App Store, meaning that Apple can issue updates for each app independent of iOS updates.
If you have an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, removing an app from your Home screen also removes that app from your Apple Watch.
Removing apps can unsurprisingly impact related functionalities such as CarPlay and Notification Center widgets.
Wake Alarm

A new Bedtime tab has been added to the Clock app with a Wake Alarm function that can help you go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. When enabled, the recurring wake-up alarm will remind you when it is time to sleep, track how many hours you slept, and provide detailed sleep analysis.
Individual Read Receipts

Read receipts can be toggled on a per-person or per-conversation basis on iOS 10, rather than be simply turned on or off entirely.
Music Storage Optimization

• Control Center now supports 3D Touch
• Settings has new 3D Touch shortcut for Cellular Data
• Tweaked “back to” icon in Status Bar
