Apple Music for Android is coming, according to leaked screenshots
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Apple has never really bothered with porting iOS apps over to the Android platform – iTunes, amirite? However, times are changing, and despite Apple having the revenue lead on Android as a whole, the music streaming business is a completely different kettle of fish. Apple’s offering in this space, Apple Music, is still in early days, but has to compete with the well entrenched communities of Pandora, Spotify, and even Google Music. So it’s no surprise that Apple is looking at making Apple Music for Android, and that’s been alluded to in a number of leaked screenshots this week.
There doesn’t appear to be too much of a different between this version of Apple Music and the iOS version (not that we’d know what to look for), but you will notice the welcome presence of the Material Design hamburger in the top left and accompanying slide menu which suggests that Apple – or whoever they pawned off the porting job to – has made an effort to make Apple Music for Android at least look like an Android app in 2015. We have no idea when this will be made available, but chances are given that the app in these screenshots looks pretty advanced, we may be seeing Apple Music for Android sooner rather than later.

Canada’s WIND Mobile will sell the BlackBerry Priv
Another carrier in Canada, where BlackBerry is headquartered, has announced that the new Priv will be sold online and through its retail stores at a later date.
WIND Mobile, Canada’s fourth largest carrier, launched a product listing on its site indicating that BlackBerry’s Priv is “coming soon.” This carrier joins Rogers and Telus as those in BlackBerry’s home country planning to offer its very important piece of hardware to customers. And BlackBerry needs all the carrier support it can get if the company wants to remain in the hardware business in the future. BlackBerry is banking on its physical keyboard and top-of-the-line security to attract buyers.
The Priv costs CA$899 in Canada, but WIND Mobile doesn’t have the price labeled there at this time.
This is right on the heels of BlackBerry accepting pre-orders for the Priv in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ returns to PC on October 28th
Months after Warner Bros. yanked the PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight to tackle its many launch day glitches, it’s ready for take two. The publisher has announced that Rocksteady’s game will return to Steam on October 28th at 10AM Pacific, or 1PM Eastern. The re-launch will also include a patch that brings PC players up to speed on features that are available on all console versions (such as Photo Mode and the Arkham Asylum skin), and anyone with a Season Pass will catch up on downloadable content. It’s too soon to say if this will be the Batman game you were expecting this spring, but it should be much closer to the intended vision.

More and more leaks have appeared online of it’s upcoming On5 and ON7 mid-range smartphones heading to India and possibly other markets. Now, we have official press renders of the phones from all angles.
The images show the smartphones in white and gold color options, with a very similar Galaxy design we’ve all come to expect from the company. The devices look to sport aluminum sides with a plastic removable back. According to the source, hardware specifications for the phone include 720p Super AMOLED screens and powered by the Exynos 3475 quad-core SoC running at 1.2GHz along with 1.5GB of RAM. One of the main differences is the screen size, with the ON5 offering a 5 inch screen and the ON7 offering a 5.5 inch size.
The backside of the ON7 will sport a 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front, and the smaller ON5 sporting an 8-megapixel primary shooter instead. To power the phones, the source states a hefty 3,000mAh battery will accompany the ON7 and a 2,600mAh battery in the ON5. Internal storage comes offers 8GB, however to please a great number of people, the devices will allow for expandable storage via micro-SD slot inside the phone.
The two devices will run Android 5.1.1 with TouchWiz on top. Exact release dates and pricing are not yet known, or if this device will be available internationally.

OSIRIS-REx is complete and will collect asteroid samples in 2016
It seems like only yesterday that OSIRIS-REx got its first scientific instrument: a thermal emission spectrometer that can take the temp of an asteroid called Bennu every two seconds. Now, Lockheed Martin is done building the spacecraft, and NASA’s slated to send it off to space in 2016 to collect samples from the near-Earth asteroid. Before it blasts off, though, the probe will undergo more rigorous testing as a whole spacecraft within the next five months. That includes subjecting it to extreme temps, vibrations, electromagnetic interference and vacuum that simulate space travel.
