Sony will fix the touch input error on the Xperia Z5 Compact next week
For the past couple of weeks, the Internet has been flooded with reports from Xperia Z5 Compact owners complaining that the touch input system on their handset has suddenly stopped functioning. Today, Sony acknowledged the issue by affirming that it is, in fact, a software-related problem, which it hopes to have fixed by Monday, October 26.
Here’s what Sony had to say on the matter:
“Sony Mobile is committed to providing the highest standards of product quality and customer service for all of our products. We are aware of reports of a limited number of customers experiencing touch input issues on their Xperia Z5 Compact devices. By gathering information and analysing returned devices we have found the root cause and will release a new software to improve the user experience.”
Xperia Z5 Compact owners, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the update, which should start rolling out next Wednesday.
