Photos of the Motorola Moto G (2015) box leak
Pictures of the upcoming Moto G (2015) have leaked showing the device in its retail box. The specs of the device written on the back of the box are also shown in the photos, confirming that the new Moto G will come with a 5-inch 720p display, sport a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU (Snapdragon 410 SoC) and be water resistant. Apparently, the Moto G comes with a pair of extra back covers, such as the blue and green ones shown above. The screen protector also confirms that the device will have a dual micro SIM functionality. Finally, the back of the box says that the Moto G will have IPX7 protection, making the device water resistant.
Official specs and other details of the device will be officially confirmed during Motorola’s event this Tuesday.

OnePlus’ releases app for viewing the launch of the OnePlus 2
On Monday, OnePlus will introduce its next flagship phone to the world. This won’t be a typical announcement because the company is going to utilize virtual reality for the debut of the OnePlus 2. Through the OnePlus Cardboard app, people can stream the launch event as it happens. OnePlus claims that this is the world’s first product launch in virtual reality; however, people without a viewer to insert their phone into can still witness what OnePlus has coming. Everyone is welcome to attend using the official OnePlus 2 Launch app.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 may not come with auto-ejectable S Pen
Last week, patents belonging to Samsung for an auto-ejectable stylus were uncovered. Many believed that the technology protected by those patents would be implemented into the Galaxy Note 5. Those hoping for this feature may have to wait a bit longer as a new report claims that Samsung’s patents for an auto-ejectable stylus have no effect on the Galaxy Note 5’s design.
It seems the Galaxy Note 5’s S Pen similar to previous iterations of the stylus. What the phone will likely bring, though, is a revised design, new colors and more accurate pressure sensitivity. Sources have also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a embedded battery pack sealed off by a metal chassis made of glass on the front and back and an all-metal rim. This points that the Note 5 will follow design cues from the Galaxy S6.
The Galaxy Note 5 could be coming on August 13 alongside the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and a new Tizen smartwatch, called Gear A, may debut as well.

NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 now getting Android 5.1 Lollipop update
The NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 was a great tablet, but it didn’t pick up much traction in such a competitive market. Its low price and decent specs managed to catch some eyes, though, and we are sure some of you are still loving the stylus-centric pad. The good news is you are about to enjoy it even more!
People across the web have been reporting the NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 is getting an update to Android 5.1, which will make it a device worth of envy for many of us touting newer tablets that haven’t yet gotten this sweet Lollipop treat.
According to the screenshot in hand, the 446 MB OTA update comes with more than just the newer Android OS version (and all that Android 5.1 entails). There’s also improvements to the exclusive DirectStylus features, as well as audio, display, network and app compatibility fixes.
The update hasn’t reached everyone just yet. As it goes with all software upgrades, this one is rolling out gradually. If you don’t see a notification and checking manually is giving no results, just sit tight and try not to smash your touchscreen – it will come soon!

OnePlus announced that they would be using an “improved” invite system for the OnePlus 2, notably adding the possibility of registering for an invite via their website. Well, that website has just gone live, so you can register for a OnePlus 2 starting today. Based on the information provided on the landing page, the terms of the invites will be exactly the same as before – receive the update, register yourself on the OnePlus website and use it within 24 hours. The last part of that is a legacy from the OnePlus One, and I’m not really a fan of it – especially considering OnePlus says you could be waiting three weeks before your OnePlus 2 even ships.
All the same, the addition of a registration process does make it a bit easier for people who don’t want to grovel on forums for an invite – assuming the new system works. OnePlus is due to announce the OnePlus 2 in the next few days at a VR event for all to see. Instagram update speeds up editing, posting process on Android
An update for Instagram on Android, taking it up to version 7.3.0, has been spotted and is apparently rolling out to users. This new version appears to change the process one follows to edit and filter pictures before posting them on the service.
Users of Instagram are familiar with the three steps one follows when making a new post. After selecting an image, the app gives users a chance to crop the image, then apply some filters, and finally add a caption and some other optional information to the post.
The new process takes users directly to a new screen with most of these steps combined on this single screen. The selected image itself can be swiped on to move between filters which are displayed in real time as they are selected. A small edit button is located in the bottom left corner to access the traditional editing options. A tag button is present in the bottom right corner for tagging other users. Below all of this is a slider of nearby locations that can be selected and options for cross-posting to other services. There is also an entry field for the caption.

Fan-made ‘GTA V’ interactive map app puts Rockstar’s to shame
Grand Theft Auto V really seems like the gift that keeps on giving. The latest present? An unofficial map app (Android, iOS and web) that’s been updated with collectibles locations from the current-gen releases like Peyote plants that let you play as sharks, eagles and more — yes, flying around as a bird of prey is bizarre as it sounds. The differences between this and the official app are pretty major, too. As VG24/7 reports, you can add personal notes to the map, track your collectibles progress and even switch between atlas and satellite views of the terrain. OnePlus 2 shows up running AnTuTu benchmark in video
The announcement date is set, we know most of the specs and the VR announcement app is ready for download. Now all there’s left to do is waiting for Monday to get all the details on the OnePlus 2. Have you had enough leaks and rumors? We know we haven’t, and today we are bringing you what could be the last leak on the device before it is announced.
The OnePlus 2 has shown up in video! Given, it’s not the most detailed or crisp depiction around. Nor does the 4:48-minute video show you much of the phone, other than the front. It doesn’t really raise any red flags, though, which should be a good thing for any leak. Regardless, you won’t watch this contraband video to see how the phone looks; this is more about learning how powerful the upcoming phone can be.
The reported OnePlus 2 is shown running AnTuTu’s benchmark. After some minutes of testing, the device managed to score 49221. This puts the OnePlus 2 right in line with competing phones like the Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note 4, but below newer ones like the HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6. This is a bit weird, because the OnePlus 2 is confirumed to come with a Snapodragon 810, but we can’t speculate too much on this just yet.
The benchmark manages to corroborate some specs we were already expecting, or had some suspicions on. This handset happens to have Android 5.1.1 with Oxygen OS, 16 GB of internal storage and a 1920x1080p FHD display.
Here’s the video, just in case you want to see the phone go through the benchmark process from beginning to end. Remember this is still considered a rumor, so you should treat it as such. Don’t hold your breath on any of this information. We will know all the details this Monday, so keep it tuned to our home page!
Huawei G8 officially unveiled, featuring a fingerprint scanner and metal design
The Huawei G8 has been released in China as a mid-range device with a metal design. The handset comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and inside sits the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC and Adreno 405 GPU. The device offers two storage options: one with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM, the other with 32GB of on-board storage and 3GB of RAM. Both models come with expandable memory up to an additional 64GB.
On the rear of the G8, there is a 13MP rear-facing camera while a 5MP camera sits on the front. Huawei included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the G8 just below the camera. And making sure that the G8 is powered throughout the day is a 3000mAh battery.
The software running on the G8 is Android 5.1 Lollipop behind Huawei’s own Emotion UI.
The Huawei G8 comes in three color options: White, Gold, and Black. The two models will cost $370 and $343, respectively. Huawei has yet to comment on the handset’s availability outside of China.

July 27th is just around the corner and for us geeks that can only mean one thing. We are about to see the launch of the highly anticipated OnePlus Two, a device that, like its predecessor, should challenge industry standards and offer an amazingly powerful smartphone at an incredibly low price.
We are all desperately awaiting the day we get to see the OnePlus 2. The interesting part is that we will all get to experience the launch in a completely different way. The Chinese startup is live-streaming the launch in 360-degree VR (virtual reality). This means you will be able to see the announcement the way we usually do, right in front of the stage (who knows, maybe even on it).
