Moto X Play announced
At its special press event today, Motorola took the wraps off of three new devices. We’ve already talked about the Moto G and Moto X Style, now it’s time to focus on the Moto X Play.
The Moto X Play is essentially a cheaper version of the flagship Moto X Style, featuring the same general specifications with the exception of the processing package, which swaps the Snapdragon 808 in favor of a Snapdragon 615 processor. The 615 features an octa-core 64-bit architecture that should make easy work out of most tasks, without taking a big toll on the battery.
Other specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB storage, and the same 21MP camera of the Moto X Style, alongside a 5MP wide angle camera at the front. Like the Moto X Style, the Play also comes with a massive 3,630 mAh, that should be good for 2 days of usaage, 42% more than the S6.
The Moto X Play will cost $300 to $400 less than its competitors, according to Motorola. This is very interesting, and we think we can expect a very attractive price.
