Video surfaces online showcasing the design of a dummy One M9+
The upscaled version of HTC’s flagship smartphone of 2015, the One (M9), has been the subject of a lot of speculation for a while now. Leaks have been plentiful and, consequently, we’ve learnt quite a bit about the devices specifications from press renders and prematurely published spec sheets.
Now, however, we’re finally getting a first-hand look at the design of the One M9+.
Earlier today, a video appeared on YouTube starring a dummy version of the handset, showing us the adjustments HTC has made to accommodate the new 5.2-inch QHD display.
Click here to view the embedded video.
Now we’ve seen the devices full exterior, lets discuss its internals. If recent AnTuTu benchmarking tests are anything to go by, the M9+ is set to pack a MediaTek MT6795T chipset with an octa-core 64-bit processor, a Power VR 6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Similar to the One (M8), the M9+ feature a secondary camera. This is rumored to work in conjunction with the 20.7-megapixel primary camera in order to produce crystal clear wide-angle images.
Are you looking forward to the release of the HTC One M9+? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.

Tip: Clear your phone’s cache for more speed and storage
Something every Android owner should do that not everyone knows about is clearing your apps’ cache in your phone’s settings. An app’s cache is basically a temporary storage area for an application while it’s running. It can store things like temporary images downloaded from the internet. Clearing the cache can solve problems you may be experiencing with an app, or simply improve the speed and efficiency of it. Not to mention how much space you’ll be freeing on your phone, as Google+, Facebook and other big apps can store over 1GB of cache over time if not cleared occasionally.
First, go to your phone’ settings, then tap ‘Apps’
You will then be shown a list of your downloaded apps. Tap any one of these apps.
You will see ‘App info’ at the top. Scroll down a bit and you will see the cache section which shows how much temporary files have been stored on your phone.
Tap ‘Clear Cache’
And there you go! You can do this will all the apps on your phone, and you will clear up a lot of space depending on how much you use the app.

Google Keep updated to version 3.1 with a couple of new features [APK Download]
Google Keep is one of the best note taking/checklist apps available on Android. What makes it even better is the fact that it comes directly from Google, who can add new features periodically. And the app has now been updated to version 3.1 with some new features in tow.
First and foremost, users can now set recurring reminders for notes or checklists. Although the reminders feature has always existed on Google Keep, it could only be set once, but that changes today.
Google is also rolling out a new labels feature for the app, which lets you tag posts under different labels. So if you have something work related, you can tag it under work and personal notes can be filtered under the Personal label. Users can create custom labels as well. This feature has been long awaited and it’s good to know that Google is paying attention to the suggestions of the users.
If you haven’t seen the update notification yet, head over to the apk download link below to get the updated version of Keep on your Android smartphone/tablet.

PowerDrive Slim Video Review: An External Battery and Hard Drive Combo for iPhone [iOS Blog]
We went hands-on with Mazzo’s PowerDrive Slim, which combines an external battery with a hard drive, to give you extra storage and extra battery life for your iPhone. There’s 32GB of storage space for storing files, photos, and videos, plus a 3,000 mAh battery that translates to approximately one full charge for an iPhone 6 Plus.
Files can be transferred to the PowerDrive Slim using the accompanying PowerDrive iOS app, and at the same time, it can charge your iPhone. You’ll need to supply a Lightning cable for transferring files and for charging your iPhone from the PowerDrive Slim.
Size wise, the PowerDrive Slim is thicker than an iPhone 6 Plus, but not quite as wide or tall, so it fits easily enough in a pocket. We liked the portability, and we were impressed with the app, especially when it came to the auto backup feature for photos.
The 32GB PowerDrive Slim can be purchased from Amazon for $59.99. Mazzo also sells the device in higher capacities up to 128GB, but those are unavailable at this time.

App installer exploit affects older versions of Android but isn’t as scary as it sounds
A scary-sounding exploit and scary-sounding headlines about half of Android devices being probably are more bark than bite. Again.
A new(ish) exploit has been published today by the folks at Palo Alto Networks that describes how a bug in the Android package installer could potentially infect older phones with malware. The exploit works against versions of Android older than Android 4.3 and doesn’t affect apps installed via Google Play. It’s still something that needs talked about, as plenty of users could be affected.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to worry much — even though roughly half of all currently active Android devices are sub-Jelly Bean. Here’s what’s up.
