HBO’s streaming service will be called HBO Now, priced at $15 per month
Some new details have popped up regarding HBO’s stand-alone streaming service that’s slated for launch later this year. The service is HBO’s first foray into offering current content without the help of cable and satellite providers and will be a huge deal for cord-cutters.
The service is reportedly going to be called HBO Now, and it will go live in April, roughly a month from now. Pricing is pegged at $15 per month, which is a bit higher than the likes of Netflix and Hulu. Of course, if HBO plans on offering all of their own high quality content, it might be worth the premium over similar services.
There still isn’t any concrete information about how you’ll be able to use HBO Now, but the Apple TV is rumored to be one of the launch partners for the service. Hopefully Android devices including tablets, smartphones, and streaming boxes will be a part of that launch, but we’ll know more as we get closer to the launch.

T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 3 receiving Android Lollipop update
T-Mobile has started pushing out the Android Lollipop update to their version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The upgrade includes all of the normal features and enhancements that Google introduced with 5.0, plus a few carrier specific fixes just for T-Mobile including enhancements to WiFi calling.
If you have a Note 3 on T-Mobile’s network, start checking for the update.

GDC 2015: The Windows 10 and Xbox One event in-depth
Since Windows 8, Microsoft has had the vision of creating a unified Windows experience that reaches from your phone to your television. Part of that vision allowed consumers to take a game or app with them wherever they go.
Back in January at the Windows 10 event, Microsoft teased this experience with Windows 10 coming to Xbox One. However, they left us wondering how exactly it would work. Well, today at GDC, Microsoft went in depth about how Windows 10 will help transform Xbox One and gaming on PCs.
BLU Win HD now available in gray exclusively from the Microsoft Store
In what appears to be a Microsoft Store exclusive color, you can now pick up a BLU Win HD from the online store in gray. If you’ve been eyeballing the device, but have yet to pull the trigger based on its poppy color offerings, this could be right up your alley.
GDC 2015: MicRogue is a fast and brutal dungeon-crawler game
We’ve got yet another great little RPG coming out of GDC 2015 called MicRogue. As the name suggests, it works fine on smaller screens, and offers classic, brutal roguelike gameplay with chunky 8-bit graphical charm.
The publisher, Crescent Moon Games, made regular comparisons to chess, referring to the diverse movement, attack, and interaction patterns of the enemies you’ll bump into. The classic elements of a roguelike game are here: permanent death, with nothing carried over to your next game, the perpetual push to delve deeper into the dungeon, and an array of baddies that you have to slay or avoid in turn-based movement.
A launch is right around the corner (few weeks to a month), due exclusively to some App Store paperwork mix up. Expect MicRoge to have a $1.99 pricetag when it’s released.
Microsoft’s full GDC event is now available to stream
Microsoft made some major announcements about the future of gaming on Windows 10 earlier today at GDC, and now the full 48-minute video of that event is available to stream at your leisure.
Google Play Store version 5.3.5 update now rolling out, brings UI enhancements and more
A new version of the Google Play Store is now rolling out, bringing the version number up to 5.3.5. This update mainly features a few UI tweaks throughout the app. And no, the awesome Google Search bar teased a few weeks ago still isn’t included in this update.
The biggest UI change we’re noticing so far is the way the notification bar changes color throughout the store. In the new update, the notification bar will change colors depending on what listing you’re currently looking through. In the older Play Store version, clicking on a listing would turn the notification bar back to a blue-ish color. Take a look at the screenshot below for an example.
Google’s Kirill Grouchnikov took to Google+ yesterday to show off the next change. While in landscape mode on smartphones with the previous version, movie listing information cards would extend from edge-to-edge, which cluttered up the view a bit. Now, the movie listing card is moved in from the sides which allows for a cleaner view. Take a look at the image below for some more clarification:
The last change we’re seeing in the update is with the action bar behavior. In the old Play Store version, the action bar would stay at the top of the screen, no matter if you scrolled up or down. In the new version, the action bar hides when you scroll down, but reappears when you scroll back up. It’s a small change, but it allows you to fit more content on the screen while you’re scrolling down.

Apple Delaying Production on Larger-Screened ‘iPad Pro’ Until September
Apple has opted delay production on the rumored larger-screened “iPad Pro” due to issues with display panel supply, reports Bloomberg. Manufacturing on the tablet will reportedly begin in September, rather than earlier in the year.
Production of the 12.9-inch-screen iPad is now scheduled to start around September because of delays involving the supply of display panels, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. Apple had initially planned to begin making the larger version this quarter, people familiar those plans had said.
This isn’t the first time that rumors have hinted at delays for the iPad Pro. Apple was said to be targeting an early 2015 release date for the tablet last year, but those plans were reportedly put on hold. Back in October, The Wall Street Journal said that Apple had opted to delay mass production on the iPad in order to focus on iPhone 6 Plus production, and in November, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said production could be delayed until Q2 2015 because of difficulties related to the production of display components. With production delayed until September, the tablet could see a release in late 2015.

Apple is planning to use the “iPad Pro,” as the media calls it, to boost its flagging iPad sales. The tablet is expected to measure in somewhere between 12.2 and 12.9 inches, dwarfing both the 9.7-inch iPad Air 2 and the 7.9-inch iPad mini 3.
It may be targeted at the enterprise market, and rumors have suggested it could sport an “ultra” high-resolution display and stereo speakers at the top and bottom edges of the device for an improved audio experience. It may also ship with an optional stylus accessory.
YotaPhone 2 will come to the US via Indiegogo
The second generation of YotaPhone’s dual-display smartphone is finally coming to the US, but not in the way you may expect. In an interview with PhoneScoop, the company’s Matthew Kelly said that the e-ink display-toting device will be made available to backers on Indiegogo, of all places. The details have yet to be worked out, but the company is planning to offer early backers some sort of bonus for getting to the front of the line. If the sale is successful, then the device might even wind up hitting store shelves but, for now, it doesn’t look as if any specific plans have been made. There’s also no word on how much the US edition of the YotaPhone 2 will cost you, but considering that it’s priced at nearly £600 ($917) in the UK, you can expect to be paying flagship prices for that extra screen.
