It’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It’s currently available online globally in selected markets for $249.99 USD.

Let’s take a look.

T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 edge receive 177MB OTA with bug fixes, performance improvements

When T-Mobile customers receive their recently-purchased Galaxy S6 and S6 edges, they’ll be in for an OTA update as soon as they start them up.

A heftily-sized 177MB update is hitting both phones on T-Mobile, with a very generic changelog listed indicating that there are bug fixes, performance improvements and potential feature enhancements. The software makes the jump to build number UVU1AOCG, but of course that doesn’t really matter as much as what’s actually been changed that users will notice.

Hands-on: Amzer Double Layer Hybrid Case for the HTC One M9

Good protection adds a kickstand to make better use of the screen and those speakers.

Here’s a quick look at the Amzer Hybrid Case for the HTC One M9. It’s got a soft silicone underlayer that fits up against your phone and protects the back, sides top and bottom while still giving full access to the ports and buttons. And on top of that goes a rigid plastic shell for the more serious protection.

AMC’s channels come to PlayStation Vue

The Walking Dead

If you were intrigued by PlayStation Vue as a substitute for cable TV but refused to sign up until you could watch The Walking Dead, it’s time to hop aboard. Sony has added AMC Networks to Vue’s channel roster, giving you AMC proper as well as IFC, Sundance and WEtv. Be prepared to pony up if you just have to catch Portlandia, though — while you’ll get AMC and WEtv in the base Access package, IFC and Sundance are only available if you’ve subscribed to Core or Elite. This certainly isn’t the best deal if you care about AMC or IFC above all else (Sling TV offers it as part of its $20 bundle), but it’ll make Vue a better value for your cord-cutting dollar.

Verizon starts pushing out Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5… Again!

galaxy-s5-samsung-sign

If you cast your mind back to early February, you may remember that Verizon claimed that it was rolling out the much-anticipated Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5. However, it appears the carrier pulled the original upgrade (version number: G900VVRU1BNLC ) with no reason given, and has today started pushing out an identical build of Android 5.0 to the handset, with this new version number: G900VVRU1BOA4.

The two versions seem to be exactly the same, both bringing support for multiple accounts, improved notifications, a smoother multitasking experience, Ambient Display, smarter internet connections and the recently-announced Material Design guidelines.

To start the update, make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network. Then, from the home screen, press the Menu key, followed by Settings. Scroll to the bottom and tap ‘About Device’, followed by ‘Software Update and ‘Update Now’.

Episode Duscae holds promise for Final Fantasy XV, but there’s a lot of room for improvement

I’ve finished the demo build of Final Fantasy XV, which Square Enix have dubbed “Episode Duscae”. As a long time Final Fantasy fan I’m optimistic about the franchise for the first time in a long time.

Square Enix have been soliciting player feedback on the demo, which was bundled with Final Fantasy Type-0 for PS4 and Xbox One. Here are my gameplay impressions, gripes, and pleas to Square Enix for Final Fantasy XV moving forward.
