‘The Legend of Zelda’ Wii U version pushed out of 2015
Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda game in development for Wii U is no longer due out in 2015, producer Eiji Aonuma announced in a video (embedded after the break) today. “I must apologize to you all that were expecting the game by year’s end, but we are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority,” Aonuma says. “Instead, our priority is to make it the most complete and ultimate Zelda game. I hope to use the added time to make The Legend of Zelda for Wii U into a game that will reward you for your patience, so thank you for your continued support.”
Since reiterating the 2015 launch window at The Game Awards in December, the Zelda Wii U development team has discovered more possibilities to add to the game’s open world, Aonuma says. He continues:
As we have worked to turn these possibilities into reality, new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds even my own expectations. As I have watched our development team progress, I have come to think that rather than work with meeting a specific schedule as our main objective, and releasing a game that reflects only what we can create within that scheduled time, I feel strongly that our focus should be to bring all these ideas to life in a way that will make The Legend of Zelda on Wii U the best game it can possibly be.
Nintendo revealed the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda in June 2014, during E3.

HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6 pre-orders kick off: which are you buying?

The time has come for many smartphone fans around the world to choose which device they’ll pick up next – the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the HTC One M9. Both devices are now up for pre-order on most U.S. carriers, so tell us, which one will you choose?
Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are arguably two of the most beautiful devices the company has ever produced. Both handsets feature a dual-sided glass build with metal trim and a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display. The S6 has a 2550mAh non-removable battery, while the S6 Edge will give you a little more juice with its 2600mAh cell. They’re both powered by a Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, and either 32, 64 or 128GB of on-board storage. Although Samsung has opted to give us higher storage options this time around, the omission of a microSD card slot and removable batteries may stray Samsung fans away from the company’s newest devices. To learn more about the Galaxy S6, check out our full review.
Where to buy:
Since there are multiple different storage options available on each carrier, to save some room, we’ll give you availability info for the 32GB variant of each device.

- U.S. Cellular – $199.99 with a two-year agreement/$34 per month for 20 months

HTC One M9
While Samsung changed just about everything with the S6 and S6 Edge, HTC went for a more iterative approach this time around. Even so, it’s hard denying that the HTC One M9 is one beautiful smartphone. The handset features HTC’s iconic aluminum unibody design language and a 5.0-inch LCD full HD display. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of on-board storage with microSD expansion up to 128GB. It also has a non-removable 2840mAh battery. HTC decided to move the UltraPixel camera around to the front of the M9, but the device’s 20.7MP rear-facing shooter just doesn’t compare to the Galaxy S6’s 16MP camera. Many HTC fans have been concerned that the One M9 isn’t a worthy upgrade from the One M8, though many would argue the company didn’t need to make drastic changes this time around. BlackBerry is cash flow positive and growing the software business
Earlier this morning BlackBerry reported Q4 results for fiscal 2015. Revenue dropped from $793 million in Q3 to only $660 million in Q4, but that’s mostly hardware related. On most other metrics things are looking up for the company, which explains the stock market’s mildly positive reaction to the results. The stock is up about 20 cents as I write this, to US $9.52 per share.

Google fires back over recent reporting on leaked FTC documents
Google has fired back at The Wall Street Journal today over what it says are inaccuracies in its recent reporting on a leaked FTC document.
At issue is a Wall Street Journal report from last week based on an inadvertently released FTC document that detailed the agency’s conclusions in a 2013 antitrust case against Google. In its response, Google’s SVP of Communications and Policy, Rachel Whetstone, argues that the report contained several inaccuracies concerning both the FTC’s final decision and Google’s efforts to influence legislation in Washington.
