Twitter will soon allow specific location tagging with help from Foursquare

Twitter is working with Foursquare to turn your location from a town name to a specific location.

Users will soon be able to tag locations on Twitter with more information than just a generic location thanks to Foursquare. Previously Twitter only allowed for locations to be tagged with the name of the town you were in, which wasn’t always helpful. Foursquare has a huge database of locations, and many would rather tag their tweet with an exact location than just a city or state that they happen to be in.

Twitter users will soon be able to select from a list of actual locations, such as Burger King, Target, Home Depot, or where ever they may be at the time. The addition of these locations acts similarly to Foursquare’s check-in app, Swarm, but does not require the use of the app or even an account to have access. There is no timeline for the rollout of the integration, but Twitter’s support page does say users in select areas may see these locations already.

Samsung ATIV Book 9 (2015) vs the Apple MacBook – Which is the sleekest?

A few weeks ago, in a verbose and engineering laden press event Apple announced their new MacBook laptop. Not quite the MacBook Air nor MacBook Pro, the MacBook is Apple’s premium, ultralight Ultrabook competitor. While the design and the thinness were praised, the single USB Type-C port was greeted mostly with jeers, especially for a device that starts at $1,299.

Despite Apple’s self-congratulatory accolades on making the new MacBook, Samsung announced a similar device back in January with little to no fanfare. The new ATIV Book 9 (2015) was the answer to Apple’s MacBook before it was even announced months later.

The ATIV Book 9 (2015) is already available to purchase, and we managed to get our hands on one. Here are the ways that it is better than Apple’s MacBook.

Third part of ‘Game of Thrones’ game series due March 24 for Mac, March 26 for iOS

The third episode of Telltale Games’ six-part adventure game based on the Game of Thrones HBO TV series from HBO is due for the Mac March 24, followed by the iOS version March 26.

The third part is titled “The Sword in the Darkness” and Telltale has released a quick story summary of what to expect in this episode:

Asher, the exile, heads to Mereen in search of an army to take on the Whitehills. Meanwhile, far across land and sea in Westeros, Mira must deal with the lethal politics of King’s Landing. Her family’s safety is paramount and she will do anything to protect them, but nothing is given freely, and her choice of allies may soon come to haunt her. To the north, in Ironrath, the Whitehill occupation continues. Gryff Whitehill, fourth-born son, is out to prove himself, and brutality and violence grows daily, pushing the Forresters to make far-reaching decisions. Finally, at the Wall, Gared learns that he must head north if he is to help his house survive. But fate is cruel, forcing choices that will change his path forever.

There’s also a new gameplay trailer that shows some sword fighting action and even a quick glimpse of a dragon at the end. The two episode of the series are currently available for $4.99 each for iOS and all the other episodes are scheduled to have the same price. Mac owners have to pay $29.99 up front to get all six episodes as they are released.
