So far, the rollout of Android 5.1 Lollipop has been… odd. Ever since Google officially announced it about a week ago, many people have been confused as to which build numbers coincide with each device. The first OTA update that we saw a few days ago, carrying build LMY47D, went out to international devices. Only a few days later, a new build, LMY47E, appeared on the official Nexus Factory Image page that was shipping on the Verizon Nexus 6. T-Mobile Nexus 6 owners are finally getting the update to Android 5.1, but labeled as yet another build: LMY47M.

For right now, we’re not seeing too many differences between the LMY47M build and the other two. T-Mobile’s software update page tells us that the Android 5.1 update will bring the normal additions we’re seeing on other devices running 5.1: Device Protection, a number of software stability fixes, and some squashed bugs. T-Mobile’s update also brings VoLTE to the Nexus 6.

While we try to find out what exactly has changed between build numbers, Nexus 6 owners on T-Mobile, you can start mashing your “check for update” buttons now. The update will come in at 409MB, so make sure you have enough room on your device before you try to update.

For those of you how have 5.1 already, how are you liking the update?
