BlackBerry partners with interRAI to deliver efficient data collection solutions in Healthcare


Joining their list of growing relationships, BlackBerry has now announced a new partnership with interRAI to deliver efficient data collection solutions in Healthcare.

BlackBerry will provide software and support to interRAI Canada to assist them in developing mobile versions of intake screening and questionnaires for healthcare running on BlackBerry’s secure end-to-end mobile solution. These custom screening applications will mobilize assessment tools and assist interRAI in their studies.

Sprint now offering BES12 to their Enterprise customers


BlackBerry and Sprint have now announced that Sprint will be expanding its offerings to their Enterprise customers by including BES12 as well as BBM Meetings, [BBM Protected](BBM Protected) and BlackBerry Blend in their portfolio.

“Our agreement with BlackBerry brings an advanced, secure product portfolio to our enterprise customers to help them increase productivity in their organizations while remaining secure,” said Wayne Ward, Vice President, Product & Business Development at Sprint. “It’s a priority for us to make our enterprise product and services portfolio more robust, and to make value-added service options available to our customers. BlackBerry helps us achieve this goal.”

BlackBerry announces further carrier support for BES12 Enhanced SIM-Based Licensing


BlackBerry has now announced a rather large list of carriers that will support monthly billing of BES12, including EE (UK), Vodafone India, Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan), Maxis Berhad (Malaysia), Telekom Slovenia and Telekom Hungary.

These mobile operators join a growing list that has already launched ESBL, including Vodafone Germany and Idea Cellular (India). Mobile operators using ESBL are able to provide customers with one monthly bill to subscribe to BlackBerry EMM services and BES12, the only EMM provider that is able to offer this service. The ESBL offering will support iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

Microsoft confirms that a Windows Phone flagship won’t arrive until Windows 10 ‘is ready’


At Mobile World Congress, Microsoft launched its latest offerings in the budget segment, the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL. For those holding out for a flagship device, the Redmond giant announced back in January that a Windows Phone flagship running Windows 10 for phones will arrive sometime in 2015, with no mention of a date. In an interview with The Verge, Microsoft’s director of phone marketing Neil Broadley said that a flagship will be available following the launch of Windows 10.

Settings gets a visual refresh in Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2


The new Lumia 640 and 640 XL that were just announced at Mobile World Congress both come out of the box with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2. On the face of it there’s nothing much different, but the settings menu has been given a little visual refresh and organization.
