Galaxy S5 LTE-A is Samsung’s first phone with a QHD display and Snapdragon 805 chip
Samsung has just announced a special variant of the Galaxy S5 for its home market. The phone — simply dubbed Galaxy S5 LTE-A — plays host to the manufacturer’s first 2,560 x 1,440 display, which produces an even higher pixel density than the LG G3 (577 vs. 538 ppi) due to the use of a slightly smaller 5.1-inch panel. We’re also seeing the first appearance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chipset (rather than an in-house Exynos processor), which is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and is built to handle 4K video playback and faster graphics in general. This chip supports LTE-Advanced too, which will apparently deliver data speeds of up to 225Mb/s to stunned, jaw-dropped customers on South Korean networks. Meanwhile, there’s no word on whether this variant is headed to the West, or whether it’s the fabled Galaxy S5 Prime that has been rumored for so long. But even if this is a Korea-only product, it can still be seen as a test-run for the global release of the impending Galaxy Note 4, which will almost certainly pack many of the same specs and components.

Snapchat now lets you collaborate with other users on evaporating pictures
In 2013, Snapchat launched My Story for those who don’t mind sharing their pics for just a bit longer, and now they’re expanding that feature for those who’d also like to share with more people. While the older feature lets you add images to a feed that friends can see for 24 hours, Our Story gives you the chance to contribute to a shared timeline with other users. All you need to do is send your picture to a particular event hub under the My Friends page, though be warned that you’ll have to activate location services so the app can check if you’re truly there. Sadly, it doesn’t look like you can make your own shared timeline with friends — hey, there’s Facebook for that — the feature only works with events Snapchat officially adds. You should be able to access Our Story right now without having to update the app, but you’d have to attend the Electric Daisy Festival in Vegas to test it out.

Adonit’s latest Jot Touch stylus works with Adobe’s cloud software
Adonit, the company known for its artist-oriented iOS styluses (stylii?) has just released a new model: the Jot Touch with Pixelpoint. The “Pixelpoint” term refers to the fine point 3.1mm tip that Adonit claims is more artist friendly than a regular stylus. For further fine control, the pen has a thinner design and 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity (which requires an iOS device with Bluetooth 4), along with 2 shortcut buttons. Finally, the company says the new Jot Touch is the first stylus to work with Adobe Creative Cloud (via Adobe’s Line and Sketch apps), allowing users to access their Jot files, copy and paste between devices and use Adobe’s Kuler color picker. The Jot Touch with Pixelpoint is now available from Adonit for $120, and you should be able to grab Adobe’s Sketch and Line apps soon at the App Store.

Parallels Access now available on the Android OS
Parallels Access is a very popular app on iOS that allows you to run Windows and Mac apps on your iOS device. Using your PC or Mac as a server, your iOS device would be able to run desktop apps with Parallels Access, and with control your PC or Mac using your iOS device, as long as your PC or Mac was running as a server. Finally, after a long wait and many come-close and ever some better knock-off apps, Parralells Access is available on the Android OS.
The app is free to download, but it does require a ($19.99/year) membership to actually use, after a 2-week trial. Considering all of the other apps on the Play Store, along with some basic root features, the fact that the app comes with an annual price tag might be a huge turn-off for many Android users. Yet Parallels is a very reputable remote desktop developer and it’s probably one of the best remote desktop services available at the moment.
The remote desktop options are far from perfect, but many do require this service, and if you do Parallels should be a huge must-try on your list.

Audiofly AD78M In Ear Headset Review
Audio Quality
The audio quality on these earbuds is amazing, but has some caveats. Bass is a bit overpowered, but treble, mids, highs, and lows are pretty good. No matter what type of music/audio you are listening to, the AF78M sounds great.
This is a high quality professional headset, designed by musicians, and at this price point, we will be a bit more critical versus something that may come with your smartphone. Bass is definitely not lacking, however a bit forced depending on the volumes. The dual drivers ensure great detail. Treble is near perfect allowing for amazing clarity, despite the issue with bass depending on the genre of music you are playing. Lows and Highs are good, but could be better.Mids are the AF78Ms sweet spot.
Audio is definitely impressive, and the noise isolation is pretty great once you find the right fit of ear-tips for you.
There is also a built in microphone in the AD78M, that preforms well.
Durability
Featuring AudioFlex with Cordura cable technology, the braided cables seem very durable and look great. There is also a twisted core that attempts to reduce possible electromagnetic interference. They are very tangle resistant.
Overview and Pricing
Check out the AD78M’s at Audiofly. This set features high quality packaging, a storage tin, airline adapters, and a signal-splitter. Audio is very impressive, yet the price tag which converts to about $200 USD, seems a bit overpriced, when other competitors feature similar audio quality with a better bang for your buck.

Samsung’s ‘Gear VR’ trademark sounds a lot like a virtual reality headset
Heard some of those Samsung VR headset murmurs? Well, you probably heard them from us, but here’s the latest updates: the company has just registered a trademark for “Gear VR”. The Engadget editorial team had posited a few naming ideas for Samsung’s VR wearable on a recent podcast, but it seems the company is keeping it simple. Gear would fold mean device would fold into its family of wearables, while VR stands for… well, we’re not going to spell it out.

This robot guard keeps an unblinking eye on suspicious activities
If ever Pepper gains sentience and starts looking for a boyfriend, Bob sounds like the perfect candidate. Just like Pepper, Bob takes on a legless, rather funny appearance (as opposed to South Korea’s intimidating robotic prison guards) and serves a specific purpose: to assist human security personnel and alert them when there’s trouble. In fact, he just joined security company G4S for a three-week trial, where his current duties include scanning and filming every room in its Gloucestershire headquarters in 3D. He can also notify his operators not just of any suspicious activity, but also of things that changed since his last round, like if an emergency exit is closed when it shouldn’t be. Obviously, the University of Birmingham researchers who created Bob didn’t design to replace human guards, so you can breathe easy — for now, anyway.
They also didn’t design him to be the most agile robot around, but at least he’s still capable of charging himself when he needs it… and pinging for help in case he gets stuck, say, in between furniture. Bob won’t be seeing any action outside the company’s headquarters for 15 days while his creators observe whether he can survive on his own. After all, he’s a product of a £7.2 ($12.2) million robot pilot project, and it won’t be cheap replacing him. By the way, security work might be dangerous at times, but Bob has it easy compared to his sibling, Werner. The robotic project’s other creation is about to be deployed to a care home in Austria, where he’s expected not only to guard the premises but also to play simple games with the residents.

Android 4.4.3 Suffering Issues? Moto X+1 Boot Animation! – ManDroid Quickie
How is your Tuesday going my Android friends? Hopefully it is going well, and hopefully you aren’t one of those suffering from the issues that Android 4.4.3 is having. Only issue I’ve seen is that Google Now force closes every now and then, but nothing like others are seeing.
