Free Galaxy S6 through T-Mobile until October 26
While the Galaxy S6 is still an expensive device unlocked, usually at around $500-$600 on Amazon for the 32GB model, T-Mobile is offering the device for free through their JUMP! program.
“Starting 10/22, get a Samsung Galaxy S®6 for $0 upfront and $0 per month via bill credit with an eligible trade-in with JUMP! On Demand. Plus, you can also get a 4G LTE tablet, on us, with every eligible Samsung smartphone you pick up.”
JUMP! is T-Mobile’s equivalent of AT&T’s Next program and Verizon’s Edge program. T-Mobile is promising $0 upfront and 0$ a month when you trade in an eligible device and sign on with the JUMP! On Demand service.
The third-largest US carrier is even going a step further, offering a free Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 LTE tablet for each eligible Samsung phone you pick up, like the free Galaxy S6. This only applies if you add a data plan for this tablet within 30 days of purchasing it.
The Galaxy S6 is free upfront and monthly if you trade in one of these devices:
iPhone 6 – iPhone 6 Plus – iPhone 6s – iPhone 6s Plus + Samsung Galaxy S6 – Samsung Galaxy S6 edge – Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ – Samsung Galaxy S5 – Samsung Note5 – Samsung Note 4 – Samsung Note edge
The phone is still free upfront but will cost $15 a month if you trade-in one of these devices:
iPhone 5 – iPhone 5c – iPhone 5s – Samsung Galaxy S4 – HTC One M8 – HTC One M9 – LG G3 – LG G4
The Galaxy S6 will cost $24 a month through JUMP! if you do not trade in a device at all.

Jabra Eclipse bluetooth headset now available at Best Buy or T-Mobile for $129.99
Jabra has a new bluetooth headset called the Eclipse. Unlike some of the cheaper bluetooth headsets, this one features dual-microphone noise cancellation and in-pocket charging.
It comes in black or white and also features bluetooth 4.1, has a 33′ maximum wireless range, NFC pairing, dual-microphone noise cancellation, very light at only 1.43 ounces, and has button-free interaction. Just tap the device on it’s side to initiate a command.
However, the outstanding part about this headset is the portable battery charger it comes with. When you are not using it, just put the device into the case, and it will start charging. It can add up to 7hrs of additional talk time giving it a total of 10hrs of talk time.
The headset is now available at Best Buy or T-Mobile for $129.99. Also, just a sidenote, if you want to laugh, check out T-Mobile’s listing. The have a “compatible devices” section that list basically every single phone or tablet ever made, it’s hilarious.

Where (and when) you can buy the HTC One A9 in the U.S.
An unlocked variant of the new HTC One A9 can already be pre-ordered following the handset’s announcement earlier today. The company is selling the One A9 at a “promotional price” of $399 set to last for a limited time. That price also applies to the carrier variants that operate on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint’s networks. And each of them, with the exception of Sprint skipping Deep Garnet color, will have the One A9 in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, and Deep Garnet.
Select carriers have committed to selling the One A9 online and in retail stores, too.
Sprint:
Sprint will have the One A9 available to its customers for purchase on November 6. The carrier is also running a promotion through January 7 of next year that allows customers to take HTC’s newest device home for $20 per month for twenty-four months. Customers will also get two monthly service credits of $20 each after activating a new One A9 with their carrier.
AT&T:
The folks over at AT&T did not provide too much regarding the One A9’s availability, simply mentioning that it will be “in retail stores nationwide and online at http://www.att.com” with pricing and a release date to follow at a later time.
T-Mobile:
T-Mobile has not yet commented on selling the One A9.
Verizon:
Verizon has not yet commented on selling the One A9. However, PC Mag reports that this is the first non-CDMA phone to work on Verizon’s network.

Google is giving out ‘instant’ Project Fi invitations for one day
If you’ve been jonesing to ditch your existing phone carrier and try Google’s invitation-only Project Fi service, now’s the time to act. Google is marking the launches of the Nexus 5X and 6P by giving away “instant” Project Fi invitations over the course of 24 hours — if you want to sign up, you’re in. You’ll still need to use the right phone (either of the new Nexus models, or the Nexus 6) and live in an area where either Sprint or T-Mobile provides coverage. So long as those aren’t hurdles, though, this is your best chance yet at seeing how Google’s simple, multi-network cellular access works in practice.

T-Mobile said to be carrying the upcoming Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
Most hardware manufacturers choose Android over Windows Phone Windows 10 Mobile as Google has built a powerful mobile operating system with plenty of developer support; however, there are a handful of companies that design phones for both Google and Microsoft’s platforms. Even HTC has designed a single phone to sell with either Android or Windows Phone running on it. And now it looks like Alcatel OneTouch will join that approach with an upcoming phone.
The Fierce XL, according to Evan Blass, will come in two variants. Alcatel OneTouch will sell the Fierce XL with your choice of Windows 10 Mobile (left) or Android (right). Both variants are apparently going to be sold by T-Mobile here in the United States. As you can see in the image above, the Fierce XL will not have on-screen buttons like its maker’s Idol 3. Alcatel OneTouch seems to be going with a low-end or mid-range handset that is exclusive to T-Mobile customers.

Samsung’s Gear S2 smartwatch with 3G will cost you $50 more
If you’ve been itchin’ to get your hands on the cellular version of Samsung’s Tizen smartwatch and its fancy rotating bezel, you’ll soon be in luck. Both T-Mobile and Verizon announced pricing and availability for the Gear S2 with 3G today. On T-Mobile, you can add the wearable to your plan for $5/month while the watch itself will set you back $360 or $15 on a monthly payment plan. There isn’t a pre-order option, but it’ll hit the Big Magenta’s stores and website on November 15th. Verizon will also require you to pay an extra $5 a month to add the Gear S2 to your account, but it’s offering the gadget for $350 or $300 if you opt for a two-year contract. You’re able to pre-order from Verizon, starting today, before it goes on sale November 6th. T-Mobile and Verizon will both carry dark grey and silver models, so you’ll have two color options to choose from should you decide to splurge for one. AT&T is expected to announce availability for the Gear S2 as well, but hasn’t revealed those details just yet.

Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch arriving next month at Verizon and T-Mobile
The Samsung Gear S2 will be available Nov. 5th from Verizon and Nov. 15th from T-Mobile. According to T-Mobile’s website, they will be offering the Gear S2 with a “wearable plan” at $5/month where users can call, tweet, and email with unlimited talk, text and data all from your wrist. I’m sure that will appeal to many customers as there are times when you need to be free of your phone like when you’re out running or on a bike ride. The Gear S2 will be available in two colors from T-Mobile, Dark Gray and Silver, and will cost $15/month over 24 months with no money down.
According to Verizon, you can now pre-order the gear S2 in the same colors that T-Mobile offers on a 2-year contract for $299.99 or you can buy it outright for $349.99. The website doesn’t state whether or not there is a monthly fee associated with the 2-year contract, but there is a $350 dollar cancellation fee. Consider if $50 dollars is worth signing that contract. Verizon expects to ship their pre-ordered Gear S2’s on November 5th.
The Gear S2 is Samsung’s take on the smartwatch and differs by using its own platform called Tizen which is different than Android Wear and the Apple Watch. Due to that simple fact alone there will be less apps available than what is in the Google Play store and the chances of updates might be smaller due to Samsung’s track record. Nonetheless, the Gear S2 is a great looking watch and is priced competitively amongst the competition.

T-Mobile also working on number sync for one’s devices
Just yesterday we received confirmation that AT&T was working on a similar service offering users the ability to use his/her phone number across all of their devices. T-Mobile seems to have the same idea in mind and is also working on a solution.
Unfortunately, T-Mobile didn’t provide any details other than the fact it’s working hard to bring a solution to this very much wanted feature. However, T-Mobile did promise its idea is more versatile than what AT&T has in store.
According to Re/code, the following statement was made by Mike Sievert, operating chief of T-Mobile.
“What we are working on will make this version one offering from AT&T look small. Our strategy is to ask customers what they want and need, and then build it. AT&T’s is to build or buy things, and then try to convince customers they asked for it.”
This upcoming technology could help people link smartphones to a tablet or wearable device, keeping the phone number the same. A little, but must needed feature. Now that AT&T and T-Mobile are on-board, let’s see if Verizon and Sprint follow their lead.

Samsung Gear S2 coming to Verizon and T-Mobile next month
The much-anticipated Tizen-powered Gear S2 is finally here, and it’s on its way Verizon on November 6 and T-Mobile on November 15. Pre-orders, unfortunately, are only available through Verizon at this time, as T-Mobile doesn’t have a pre-order page up.
Those ordering from Verizon can expect to shell out $349.99 or $299.99 on a new two-year contract. T-Mobile will be selling it for $359.99 and will have plenty of $0 down payment options for consumers. You can add the Gear S2 to an existing phone plan for just $5/month on both carriers to get calling, texting, data, and all that good stuff.
You can pre-order from Verizon at the source link below, and you can register your interest at the first T-Mobile source link. Once you register your interest, T-Mobile will send you an update when the smartwatch is available.
Anyone looking at picking one up on either carrier?
