The OnePlus 2 has one million people registered to its invite list
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
It might have taken OnePlus six months to sell 1 million OnePlus Ones, but it looks like that number of people have already signed up to their invite list for the OnePlus 2 even before the device has been released, the biggest indication yet that OnePlus may have hampered its sales last year with its oft-awkward invite system. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily imply that OnePlus is assured 1 million sales, but it might as well be the same thing given the early going.
The OnePlus 2 was officially announced earlier this week, and despite the glaring absence of some features like wireless charging NFC, delivered on their promise of a flagship-spec device at an affordable price. The jury’s still out whether it is the “2016 Flagship Killer” – probably because the jury is fawning over the Moto X Style – but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to sell out like hotcakes in the short term. If you’ve yet to register for an invite, you better get on it now otherwise you’ll be well back in the priority list – register for your invite here.
What do you think about the fact 1 million invites have been reserved already? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

More than 1 million people are on the OnePlus 2’s reservation list
The OnePlus 2 received mixed reaction from critics and consumers upon being announced on Monday night. OnePlus is calling its new device the “2016 flagship killer” despite the phone missing features that are pretty common for today’s flagships. And the OnePlus will only be left behind when devices arrive this fall and early next year with those features at the very least. However, that has not stopped more than one million people from being added to the reservation list on OnePlus’ site. Continuously refresh the invites page, scroll to the bottom, and you will notice that people are joining the reservation list at a rapid pace.
Remember that this is merely a reservation list. It does not mean that more than one million people have actually pre-ordered the OnePlus 2.

OnePlus asks “What Would You Do For The 2?”
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Oh, you do you, OnePlus. Despite the debacle that surrounded the launch of the OnePlus One which saw quite a lot of people destroy their phones in the hopes of getting the device, OnePlus has decided once again to engage in a viral marketing campaign that relies on its fans to embarass promote themselves for the opportunity to get their new device, the OnePlus 2, for free. Titled “What Would You Do For The 2?”, OnePlus has put up a new webpage that lets you submit a link to an example of your devotion to OnePlus. Among the ludicrous tasks you can attempt are:
CHALLENGES

Admittedly, there are a few options that aren’t completely bonkers, like creating a community app and helping the local community, but I can’t imagine these being the most popular among all the options. From a marketing perspective, it’s kind of deviously genius to get other people to help promote your device, so we’ll just leave it at that and see what comes of it. If you do want to enter OnePlus’ contest, you now have just over 5 days to submit your entry – you can submit your entry here.

Enter this contest for your chance to win a free OnePlus 2

The OnePlus 2 has finally been announced, and it comes with some of the best specifications available on the market today (even though it may be missing a few key features). Although OnePlus is allowing customers to purchase the device for just $329 via the revamped invite system, that doesn’t necessarily guarantee interested customers can grab one right away.
With that said, wouldn’t it be nice if you could win your very own “2016 flagship killer” without waiting in line? OnePlus is now giving you the chance to win one of 22 OnePlus 2 handsets, as long as you’re devoted enough.
