Supposed Nexus 6 caught on camera, just a few things to see really
We must be nearing the official launch announcement of the new Nexus 6. It always seems that “leaks” start to pick up more and more the closer we get to a device launch. The Nexus 6 has been suspected for a mid-October release, or at least announcement. We have heard rumored specs, reportedly confirmed specs, seen renders and now we have what appears to be a full-fledged Nexus 6 in use versus the image we saw earlier last week of the rear.
I know, there isn’t a heck of a lot to see. What you can see though does confirm a few a things from the leak the other day though. For instance you can make out the signal strength in the notification at the top and see that it appears to be solid vs the usual individual bars. You can also make out the dual speaker grills on the top and the bottom. On the bottom of the screen you can also see the Android L navigation buttons, well, one button, as the rest are hidden by the holders hand. That lays credence to the buttons being more spaced out. Along with those you can see the volume rocker and power button sitting more towards the center of the device, they appear to be metallic too.
It doesn’t look as huge as some might be thinking it will be. Some of the devices size, in this image, is due to the case that it resides in. Who ever is holding the device doesn’t seem to be having any issues holding it with one hand pretty easily.
It certainly looks like the it could be the Nexus 6 to me, or at least, it looks like the renders and other information that has made its rounds.

Moto Nexus 6 leaks with slew of details
![]()
A few days ago we reported about some details of the upcoming Motorola Nexus 6 from 9to5Google. This morning we reported on a leaked picture of the Nexus 6 next to a LG G3. Now, we have details confirming some of the specs we had before, while also learning some new ones from Android Police.
Android Police says they can confirm that the next device from Google will be a 5.9″ screen device called the Nexus 6. It will have a 3,200 mAh battery, with a QHD screen bringing a whopping 496 ppi, a 13 MP camera with OIS and the dual-flash ring that’s on the new Moto X, and a 2 MP camera on the front, as we reported before.
What’s new, however, is confirmation of a few things. It will indeed be a larger Moto X (2014) confirming the leaked photo from this morning. It will have an aluminum frame as well, and will have the new Moto X’s fast charging capabilities (15 minutes of charging gives 8 hours battery life). Also, it will have front facing stereo speakers. The version of Android will be 5.0 (if there was still any doubt), and it seems there will be some refreshed icons, along with a different messaging app icon (different from hangouts?), and new Wi-Fi, battery, and signal icons at the top that are now solid rather than with breaks.
They give this rumor a 9/10, which is solid for a rumor from Android Police. Along with these details, they can’t necessarily confirm the existence of another, smaller Nexus device.
What do you think? Sound like some great specs, or still too large to even consider?

Rear of Motorola’s Nexus phone leaked

The internet is hungry for new information and leaked photos of Google’s upcoming Motorola-made Nexus smartphone. Because of this, it’s very likely that someone would have the unfortunate dishonesty to put up fake photos of said phone. Be that as it may, it’s not like we haven’t seen leaked photo’s of smartphones before, even Google’s. So, take this new information with every bit of grain of salt you have.
The photo you see above is allegedly a photo of the upcoming Nexus 6 or Nexus X from Google, which has been given the code name “Shamu”, next to a LG G3. The LG G3 is arguably a big phone as it is… So “Shamu” is quite large as discussed before.
What do you think of the size of this phone? Would you get it?

Android Lollipop Hinted by Google?! Nexus 6 Sounds More Glorious! – ManDroid Daily
The ManDroid Daily is here folks. Google might have hinted at the name Lollipop on their 16th anniversary cake. I think we can all agree that is a suitable name for the next version of Android. Just waiting on Google; Nexus 6 all but confirmed at 5.9-inch QHD display
Seems the good ol’ people at Android Police are up to their usual amount of awesomeness as they have seemingly been confirmed a few things about the upcoming Nexus 6. Obviously the name being the Nexus 6 is the first and foremost point. That clears out Nexus X as a contender. It has also been apparently confirmed that the Nexus 6 will indeed be sporting a 5.9″ QHD display which makes for 496ppi.
To butter everyone up a little bit more, they have found out that the Nexus 6 will offer up dual front facing speakers, all blacked out so they aren’t an eye sore. As for cameras the device will sport a 2MP front shooter with a 13MP rear camera with the dual LED flashes placed on either side in the ring. It will be based off the new Moto X, so you can expect a larger variant with the same aluminum frame. The power and volume rocker buttons will be a bit lower so that you aren’t over extending your thumb to do simple controls.
One confirmation that I am pretty amped up about is that the battery is supposed to be 3,200+ mAh. It should keep you going for a very, very long time. They also state that the device will be compatible with Motorola’s Turbo charging that has a claim of a 15 minute charge giving you an extra 8 hours of battery life.
Another thing you will see are some changes to the icons both on the homescreen and notifications. At least in their interpretation the WiFi and Signal bars are all solid without the breaks in them. Oh, and it is also been confirmed that Android L will in fact be Android 5.0.
Now, is there a smaller version too? It seems unlikely given that it isn’t leaking anywhere. Google could be hiding this one extremely well, or it just isn’t going to happen. That might get under your skin and be a little off-putting since the apparent Nexus 6 jumps about an inch from the Nexus 5. I am confident that once you get your hands on it and spend a few days alone in your room, you will find that 5.9-inches isn’t all that big after a while. We should have dates, prices and all the final details from Google pretty soon.
So, are you saddened by the news, or are you even more excited than before?

Motorola Shamu gets spotted again, this time hiding in the dark but showing us its software details
We’ve had some very good looks at what is allegedly the next Nexus device, the Motorola Shamu, or Nexus 6, of Nexus X, or whatever else you want to call it. We’ve had photos which compare the Shamu’s size versus the equally large LG G3 as well as what looks like press renders of the device. Today, we have another leak to share which allegedly comes from someone in possession of a Shamu and has taken a photo of it while presumably in the dark. The details on the screen tell quite a story – apart from the distinctive Android L soft keys at the bottom of the screen, the details confirm the Shamu is running Android L and the build it is running is from late August.
Unfortunately for the original poster, when the image is enhanced, it reveals the Motorola logo with a SnapTag arrangement, which is presumably unique for testers of the device and may have compromised their identity (it’s been blurred out where the black box is in the above image). Oversight aside, it’s seeming increasingly likely that this Motorola Shamu is definitely a Nexus device that will see its release in the next month or so, rumoured to be around October 15th or 16th.
What do you make of this latest leak? Is the Shamu a device you’re looking forward to? Let us know your opinion.
