The 32GB Nexus 10 is out of stock on the U.S. Play Store; cue Nexus 10 refresh Rumours
It seems like at the very mention of any activity regarding the Nexus 10, a whole slew of rumours begin with trigger-happy fans and writers, myself included, excitedly trying to predict when Google will replace its aging Nexus 10 tablet. Well, there is about to be more fuel added to the flames as the 32GB Nexus 10 is out of stock on the U.S. Play Store (note that it will probably still be in stock in Play Stores around the world). The 32GB Nexus 10 now joins its 16GB counterpart in the ‘out of stock’ category on the U.S. Store which for some would appear to imply a new version of the tablet is nigh.
Unfortunately, there’s little to suggest that the inventory of the Nexus 10 has anything to do with future product release; while you might argue that the Nexus 4 going out of stock heralded the release of the Nexus 5, we had heard a fair amount about the Nexus 5 through unintentional (or intentional) leaks leading up to the release. That’s not to say that this isn’t an indication though, as we could be savouring a new Nexus 10 in a few weeks’ time, but it pays to be cautious.
I guess we’ll just have to be stuck with waiting till Google decides to ‘accidentally’ drop some video of the new Nexus 10. Who thinks the 32GB Nexus 10 going out of stock is an indication of things to come? Let us know what you think.

Nexus 10 out of stock on Google Play
For a few months, Google’s 10-inch tablet, the Nexus 10, has only been available in a 32 GB model in the Google Play Store since the 16 GB model has been out of stock, but today inventory has finally run out completely.
Seeing as how Google never replenished stock of the 16 GB model, it’s probably safe to say we won’t be seeing the Nexus 10 (2012) coming back. Hopefully this means that it’s almost time for a new 10-inch tablet, since at the moment, the company is lacking in that option.
There have been plenty of bogus leaks such as those that suggested a new model would be released on Black Friday, then at CES, but all of those rumors turned out to be untrue.
With the Nexus 10 released in November 2012, it missed the yearly update cycle Google usually has with its products. If any more information about a new device becomes available, you can be sure we’ll have it here.

Report says Samsung will debut Nexus 10 successor at CES
Take this for what you want, but Digitimes is saying Samsung will introduce a new Nexus 10 at CES next week. The source, which is as wrong as often as it is right, reports that the refreshed device will feature an AMOLED display. As to whether it will actually be branded with a “Nexus” title remains to be seen.
It’s obviously worth pointing out that Asus has been tossed about a few times as the hardware maker behind the next-generation of Nexus 10 tablet. Thankfully, we’ve only got a few days to go to find out whether Digitimes is correct with this one.

Magtron brings POGO charging cables/cases to Galaxy S4
When I first saw the email I had dumbfounded look on my face and my brain didn’t want to register what I was reading. Then I saw the video, which you will also see in a minute, and it clicked.
So here is the skinny that you need to know. Magtron has released what is called the Magnector POGO cables and cases. See where my confusion came from. POGO is means you don’t have to “plug” in your device, rather you just set it on a dock or stand that has the POGO connectors available. This readily available on Nexus devices and some other model devices out there. It is nice and can ultimately save your charging port from failing on you. There is the limitation of it having to be in a dock, not to mention the limited availability of devices that sport it. Magtron is changing that with the Magnector series.
The Magnector series is a line of cases that you can slide your Android device into, currently the Galaxy S4, and then you are free to use the POGO charging cable that is magnetically attracted to the bottom right side of the case. Viola, that is it. You are up and charging and you didn’t even have to fumble with flipping the usb cable over or searching for the hole. Take a watch of the video, it will make more sense.
“For the past 10 years, our core value has been providing customers with new and exciting products that maximize their experience with cell phones and tablets,” said David Byun, President of AccessoryGeeks.com. “The magnetic attachment concept that allows high-speed charging and data sync capabilities is a paradigm shift that benefits everyone. We are proud to offer the line of Magnector products as the exclusive North American partner.”
Pretty sweet really. They also have a Magnector cable for the Nexus 10 if you are interested. I know the video showed the Galaxy SIII and the Nexus 7 first and second gen tablets as well, but I am not seeing them up on the site to purchase just yet. You can get one ordered for your Galaxy S4 and your Nexus 10 though. Head over to Accessory Geeks to take a look.
Android 4.4.2 Binaries and Factory Images Get Posted by Google
Google has been on top of things lately, with releasing Android 4.4.1 to the Nexus family last week, then releasing Android 4.4.2 this week. They have also been updating their apps, and announced two additions to the Google Play Edition family. No one is complaining that is for sure, and today, they just posted the Android 4.4.2 binaries and factory images for anyone that wants them.
Google actually didn’t post the binaries or factory images for Android 4.4.1, probably because they knew they were going to release Android 4.4.2 to the public a week later. I know a lot of you might not even consider downloading any of these files, but this does help developers get new ROMs out quickly, and if you do end up flashing your device into certain oblivion, you can flash the factory image to get it back to stock. So if you feel like you need to download the files, head over to the Google page provided below.
