Motorola’s next phone, the Moto X Force leaks on Twitter
We’re starting to see steady leaks come out of the Motorola camp recently. First it was the Moto 360, which has been leaked numerous times over the past few months. Then it was the new Moto X line followed by the Moto 360 Sport. Now we’re getting another look at the Moto X Force. The Force was originally leaked with it’s code name, “Bounce”. In that leak we learned that the Force will feature a 5.43″ QHD display, Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 SoC, 3 GB of RAM, 21 MP main camera and 5 MP front facing camera with a huge 3,760 mAh battery, shatterproof screen and either 32 or 64 GB of storage. Sounds like a monster.

There’s no telling about availability yet. Some had speculated this will be a Verizon exclusive but it appears that a re-branded Moto X Play will end up being named the Droid Maxx 2 here in the states.
We’re definitely seeing a shift from the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) approach that Motorola had adopted around the time they were acquired by Google. This year alone we’re going to see a new version of the Moto E, two versions of the Moto G (1 gb/8 gb and 2 gb/16 gb, four versions of the Moto X (Pure, Play, Style, and Force if this leak is accurate) and 3 versions of the Moto 360. It’s bold to step away from the strategy that had Motorola selling so many phones. This may pollute their product lines producing diminishing results or drive them to record sales. We’ll have to wait and see.
But this phone may be worth the money alone so I can tell my friends I called them using The Force.
Do you think there is enough different between the Moto phones to make a difference? Let us know in the comments how you think Motorola’s new strategy under Lenovo will shake out.

Moto X Pure Edition will be available to pre-order tomorrow
Motorola took to Twitter this morning to announce that the Moto X Pure Edition in the United States will be available to pre-order as of tomorrow, September 2.
Motorola held an event in New York City last month, revealing a bevy of new products–the Moto G, the Moto X Play, and the Moto X Pure Edition.
The Moto G was immediately available following the event, and the Moto X Play launched not long after, but now US customers are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Moto X Pure Edition. And based on this tweet, the wait shouldn’t be much longer.
That said, tomorrow consumers will be able to head on over to www.motomaker.com and start customizing their Moto X Pure Edition. Of course, there’s still no solid release date, but given the timing of the Moto X Play, consumers should only have to wait a little over week before it officially launches.

Lenovo issues invite to Moto 360 2 unveiling on September 8th

We’ve all probably assumed that a new Moto 360 is in the works for a while now, but today Lenovo has finally given us a launch date. The company has just sent out an invitation via Weibo for a launch conference that will take place in Shanghai on September 8th, accompanied by the words “it’s time”.
Along with the launch date, the teaser confirms the design spotted in leaked images over the past weeks, complete with the new 2 o’clock physical button. Along with the rose gold color in the invitation, the Moto 360 2 is also expected to arrive in silver and black options.
We have had a few good looks at the second generation Moto 360 recently, following a number of leaks. Most recently, the new smartwatch is said to be arriving in regular and sporty variants.

Some hardware rumors pin one version on a 1.37-inch display and 270mAh battery, while the second variant will feature a larger 1.55-inch display and 375mAh battery. The sport version is said to come with a hybrid display for better outdoor viewing, 3ATM water resistance, GPS location tracking, and a barometer, according to @upleaks. However, this version is not expected to be unveiled until November.
Are you excited for the new Moto 360?
The Moto 360 Sport smartwatch leaks
Are you waiting for the next version of the Moto 360 to drop before splashing your cash on a smartwatch? Well your decision may have just gotten a little more difficult on which one you want to pick up.
Leaker upleaks has given us our first look at a new Moto 360 variant named the Moto 360 Sport. It’s said to have a Hybrid Display optimized for outdoor use, 3ATM Water Resistance (30 meters), GPS, and Barometer. The Moto 360 has already gone up for pre-order but you may want to hold off if you’re the outdoorsy type.

Motorola is releasing a whole host of new devices in the second half of the year from the new Moto X line to the new Moto 360 line as well as a rumored Motorola Bounce, also brought to us by upleaks.

Motorola Bounce has a 5.43-inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 810, but what is it?

Despite announcing its latest flagship, the Moto X Style (aka Moto X Pure) earlier this month, it seems Motorola isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Not only do rumors point to two new Verizon Droids in the near future, a new tweet from @upleaks has now outed the Motorola Bounce as well.
According to the well-known leaker, the Moto Bounce has a 5.43-inch QHD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM. Other specs include 32 or 64GB storage, a 21MP camera (likely the one from the Style), and a 3760 mAh battery. The phone will also reportedly offer a “shatterproof” design meaning it will have probably a MIL-STD rating. The rumor doesn’t mention it, but we wouldn’t be too shocked if it ends up with water/dust resistance as well, but at the very least it is probably splashproof.

So what is the Bounce? While we really don’t know for sure at this stage, we wouldn’t be too shocked if the Motorola Bounce is just another name for the upcoming Droid Turbo 2. After all, the original Droid Turbo launched with specs that were more advanced than even the Moto X. The Droid Turbo eventually arrived to international markets under the name Moto Maxx, and so it stands to reason that the Bounce could be the international variant of the Turbo 2.
Obviously, this is all speculation at this point, so we wouldn’t jump to any conclusions just yet. Based on the very little we know about the Bounce, what do you think so far? Does a more compact flagship with a Snapdragon 810 appeal to you or are you perfectly happy with the larger 5.7-inch Moto X Style?
New Moto 360 could arrive in September, Sport version in November

Teasers for a new Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch have been coming thick and fast this month and today we can bring you another set of leaked pictures of the second generation wearable, courtesy of @Upleaks. Furthermore, the prolific leakster suggests that a Sport version of the smartwatch is in the works too.

— upleaks (@upleaks) August 31, 2015
http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsThe pictures of the Moto 360 (2nd gen) match up with the previous leaks, showing off a metal build and a variety of leather and metal straps. There also appears to be a third rose gold color option, which wasn’t mentioned alongside the silver and black options that leaked yesterday. The Moto 360 Sport appears to swap out these materials for a plastic case which doesn’t look to offer changeable straps. We don’t have any specifications at this point, but this seems to suggest a waterproof case of some sort, which is pretty much a requirement for a sports wearable.
moto 360 2nd gen will be coming in September, Sport version will be coming in November.
— upleaks (@upleaks) August 31, 2015
http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
The rumor also gives us two potential launch dates for the products. The new Moto 360 could arrive sometime in September, while the Sport variant may have a later release around November time. Given that sports wearables still remain the most popular market segment, a dedicated fitness product could help Lenovo reach a wider audience with its new watch.
What do you think about the latest rumors, and which features are on your wish-list for a next gen smartwatch from Motorola?
Smaller Motorola smartwatch is outed as the Moto 360 Sport, will arrive in November according to leak
The leaks have arrived with increasing frequency, even Motorola tweeted (temporarily) about the 2015 version of the Moto 360, but now it seems like we finding out the details we really want to know. The seemingly back-in-the-game, Evan Blass (@evleaks), leaked an image of the Moto 360 (2015) a little while ago, and not to be outdone, @upleaks has leaked pictures and news about its smaller version. This smaller version is apparently called the Moto 360 Sport and is said to arrive in November.
The deviceseen in the image above is apparently the Moto 360 Sport, showing off information such as heart rate, timer, and distance achieved. Along with the rubber/plastic strap, it isn’t difficult to imagine that the Moto 360 Sport, as the name suggests, will target consumers with an active lifestyle.
If one looks at the bottom of the dial carefully, it would appear that both the Moto 360 (2015) and the Sport model carry on with the flat-tire design first seen on the original Moto 360. It’s a feature that you either don’t mind or hate with extreme prejudice.
One detail to ponder about is how to change the strap on the Moto 360 Sport, because the device in the image doesn’t have the usual 22mm pin as can be seen on the standard Moto 360 (2015). Could the Moto 360 Sport employ a similar solution to Sony’s SmartWatch 3 where the entire housing has to be changed when swapping straps because it’s a one-piece item?
The Moto 360 (2015) is said to be ‘coming in September’ while the Sport model could arrive in November. I’m sure we will see more leaks and details about the Moto 360 (2015) and Sport smartwatches in the coming days as we get closer to when IFA 2015 opens its doors in Berlin later this week.

New Moto 360 leaked image shows smart watch in 2 colors

The Moto 360 design made this smart watch one of the most popular first-generation Android Wear devices around, so it’s only natural that so many of us are looking forward to seeing its successor. Don’t you worry, the new Moto 360 should be announced next week, during IFA, but we are already getting a good look at the product thanks to beloved ex-leakster @evleaks.
He was actually quite smooth this time around. Evan Blass leaked the image in the form of a response to tech blogger David Ruddock, who was talking about boarding Delta flights using his Android Wear device.

Pretty sneaky! The device shows up in 2 colors and displays some aesthetics changes. For starters, the button has been positioned higher. Looking around the image we can also see the watch has a much more classic design, making it even better looking than the original Moto 360.
There’s nothing exactly new here, as we have already seen some images before (one of them actually came from Motorola). Regardless, it’s always nice to get a good look at an unannounced gadget, especially when available images are so good.

Enjoy the render and let us know what you think of the 2nd-generation Moto 360? Are you thinking of buying one? As mentioned above, the announcement should be taking place this coming week, so keep it tuned to Android Authority for all the news!
Here is a press render of the new Motorola Moto 360
On Twitter, Evan Blass shared share an alleged image of the upcoming Moto 360 (2015). The models in the image (seen above) are stainless steel with varying bands. The black stainless steel model on the left features a band of the same material while the model on the right has a brown leather band. Moto Maker will presumably be utilized once again to allow consumers to personalize their smartwatches.
Notice that the display size is different, too. This indicates that there will indeed be two unique models. Notice anything about the display? Well, it’s hard to tell if the ‘flat tire’ from last year’s Moto 360 is returning.
Motorola will not be alone if they decide to announce a new smartwatch this week. Plenty of companies are reportedly joining Huawei in showcasing new Android Wear devices at IFA 2015.
